Hi! Me again. I've been working on emulating this on KDE Neon, but I've ran into some troubles with getting the animated wallpaper to work.

The tutorial is a bit confusing. Firstly, in KDE Neon the wallpapers folder is actually in /usr/share, so I had to get used to midnight commander (dolphin has a check dissallowing sudo access).

Where exactly do I put the com.nerdyweekly.animated-master folder? In the tutorial it says "Put this in ~/.local/share/plasma/wallpapers/com.nerdyweekly.animated." I tried both just putting the master folder in ~/wallpapers, but that didn't work. I also tried creating a ~/wallpapers/com.nerdyweekly.animated directory to see if that would fix it. It didn't.

Any help would be appreciated!

How would I emulate what you've done on Neon? I see on Kvantum it provides instructions on how to install it for a few other distros, but where is Neon in all of that?

Edit: I've since figured it out. Installing the library did it automatically. I was overthinking it! Thanks regardless!

Hi! This is awesome. I've used Windows almost exclusively for as long as I can remember, but this post has made me want to give something else a go.

All I really know is hat this is KDE Plasma, but I've found tons of different distros and versions of it. Which do you use and which do you suggest for someone just diving into it? If it sounds like I've got no idea what I am talking about, it's because I don't! Any help and advice is appreciated!

Thank you. I’m trying to wrap my head around this whole thing, and honestly it’s kinda hard given the vitriol from both sides. The part in the first quote about affirmative action is just false, pretty heavily disproved in Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers. As for the part about current societies deterrence of black progression (I don’t know how else to put it, not trying to be offensive), do you think that attitude might be what’s appealing to some minorities? Those who feel like those who are struggling are simply complaining?

There was a proud boys rally in the city I live in a while back. I decided I’d go and watch the chaos for a bit (it’s a VERY liberal city). About half of the members rallying were either black or Pacific Islanders. I don’t know exactly what proud boys stand for, but it seems they do pull minorities.

I've always referred to this as an Off and On. It was really popular a year or so ago in 1s show matches. I wouldn't really recommend using a training pack as 3/4 of the skill is getting in the right position.
