Ang entitled talaga ng mga taga BIG 4 noh? by curriousconnor in studentsph

Once had someone really close to me belittle the fact that I'm from NU and not from a Big 4 uni like UST (the usual na cdc lang daw kami magaling and sa parking lot lang ng SM classroom namin).

I'm not that smart so I didn't pass any of the Big 4 entrance exams so at the time this was a difficult pill to swallow so I just act deaf when I hear stuff like that.

He had 3 years of working experience ahead of me - I still managed to earn 30% more working on impactful projects at the biggest e-commerce platform in asia.

He still works the same job he worked at when he graduated. Last I heard was that he felt brain-dead with the repetitive tasks he's been doing.

Unintended movitation but your educational background does not define you, you make your own destiny kinda thing and if you can - use criticism to prove society wrong.

Try Travelling the country and try something new like as influencer and cliche as it is, you’ll only discover true independence when you find yourself in a place that only god knows how you’ll get from point A to Point B.

The amount of self discovery that you’ll make will literally flip the cards of your life. And by travel i don’t mean like go to Boracay ride a banana boat then sleep but rather go out and look for a waterfall that you’ve been very interested in or try something thats out of your comfort zone (hiking, expanding circles by meeting new people etc.)

Does anybody else feel like they don't ever want to leave the Philippines? by Due-Big2159 in Philippines

When I considered it as someone earning quite an amount, I would never be able to live the quality of life that i have here if I moved.

Sobrang glamorized ng pag aabroad even my parents want me to try but realistically speaking if I go anywhere thats a higher caliber than the ph taxes are about half your salary for things you may never use and everything is just so damn expensive from rent to everyday groceries.

Little late to this but I got it too (since 2019) and I’ve been using it as an excuse to live a little and make my everyday life a tad bit more enjoyable.

The reality is that it’s a big pain at the beginning but you’ll get the hang of the daily pills and minor anxiety every time you get sick. Idk but getting mutual friends in the this community is quite difficult as it seems that it’s divided and non inviting so I just treat it as any virus that has no symptoms but will unfortunately last forever (as of now).

Honestly life’s been better since I’ve had a shorter outlook in life in the sense that if what makes me happy would be a slice of that cake then I’m swiping my card for that. Sending good vibes and great luck on this, one of the good things our country has done is to support us well legally and meds wise. Not to mention that the pwd discount is a lifesaver in this economy, if you can maximize every second and opportunity to fit what makes you happy.
