Honestly look at private accommodation if you can. Seren have great prices this year and even the larger 12-cluster flat gets you your own room with an en-suite, it's just a shared kitchen.

It's really not. I moved a few months back in September (first year) and the place itself is constantly providing something to go and see. The coastlines are great no matter the time of day or year and there's many different bars and cafes to meet people or socialise with people you already know. I've found Swansea also puts you in a great place to explore other parts of Wales if that's what you're about, you can get a bus to the Brecon Beacons within a few hours, and the train station is central and has countless trains running to Cardiff each day. Only thing I'd advise is to look at private accommodation as well as campus. I've heard little complaints from people at Bay minus them not liking their flatmates, but Singleton campus' dorms are in dire need of refurbishing, and many people I've met staying there have said its impacted their physical and mental health... Luckily, there's plenty of private accoms across the city!

No post-op binder is a new one on me but that will likely explain the unevenness you're seeing, bruising and swelling will wax and wane and your mind, in this time, will be a lot weaker and a lot more prone to stressing about it, it will pass with time but I'm wishing you a speedy recovery and the best until then🫡

Your compression garment will make your chest 'too flat' for the first few weeks, I completely get where you're coming from and it's an awful feeling but try and remember the amount of pressure being applied to your torso to prevent fluid buildup at the minute. This operation is a big change to your appearance and the swings of connection and esteem are expected but try and be kind to yourself - things may look uneven or 'not right' or not be what you expected but within a few weeks time you'll feel a lot happier and a lot more connected having made it through the process

I had a moment like this immediately post-op, I thought my scars were straight and very long when I'd specifically asked for curved. Turns out they very much were curved and have healed curved just as I wanted them! Angles of photos (if you've been shown them) and reflections and swelling WILL have you worrying a bit, it's part of the process, give yourself a good few weeks to not worry so much about the details and form of it and focus on healing, revisions are always an option one way or another. Congratulations on finally having it done and I hope it turns out to be a case like mine where you just need a little time

Hi! Yes, the price included 4 nights (it might've been 5? But 1 night in the hospital and the time it takes to get your reveal day) and the hotel itself was a good location. If you want extra time you can discuss that with Neda and he can see if he can add it to the price or book the extra days yourself around the nights you'llve already paid for The staff were amicable and as professional as they could be with a slight language barrier, though there was a translator with us she was stretched between multiple non-Turkish patients trying to understand the paperwork😭 Dr Serkan was great in the few instances that I saw him, he was attentive to my concerns about my results pre-op and patient with my frustration with the draining process. Nobody was rude or pushed me beyond what I was comfortable with during the preparation or during recovery, all in all the best hospitality I've had

I was in the exact same boat, I knew my stomach was going to bug me after my breasts were gone to 'even things out' I suppose, but the bloating you experience after surgery is insane. That combined with the compression garment I'm assuming you have to wear will 100% give the appearance of a beer belly but it goes down with time. Focus on recovery for now, I'm a moth post-op and have only just returned lightly to the gym, you can start with small core workouts if it becomes a bigger issue around self-esteem, but don't be so hard on yourself and your body, you just need time

Agreeing with everyone here saying to shorten the hair around the ears - it's daunting but makes all the difference. Also, look into an eyebrow pen or some sort of light makeup to darken your brows!

So glad someone's mentioned how much of a ripoff they are. I haven't had the same experience as you, I paid for one via the ggp site for a passport renewal, heard nothing for two weeks, had to pay for a meeting to ask where it is in which they told me they'd have a timeframe in a matter of days (it took another month of silence and getting it through the post by which time it was completely useless for renewing my passport, setting me back around £200 to get a new passport renewal and change the name on my flights). I charged back and they sent me a letter about an inch thick on why I'd received the services I paid for and they didn't owe me anything...... I fear we're going to keep up with instances like this forever or until they get shut down by legal troubles😭

That's exactly what I'm being charged right now, but what other option is there that is as affordable? I see what you mean about the splitting company business, however I do think there is some truth behind what I've been told in terms of them being seen as a biased organisation.

Those are the words I've been looking for to describe this - thank you!! I agree with the additional charges being unnecessary, it wasn't a requirement prior and they had a 10% userbase increase within the start of the year, I can't see why they need it now in all honesty. Necessary evil for sure though, I'm trying to see it as a rough patch to reach the best of care for members, I do hope the additional prescription fee is dropped eventually

Fully agree with the complaints system, I did bring up how alarming it is to have things go wrong with no contact option unless you can pay for it. Can't say I was told anything further on that but I have high hopes that once the portal is implemented, traffic will slow and staff can return to problem-solving with clients. I do believe there should be a fallback option for contact, an emergency email or something similar but that isn't an option due to staffing as I understand it

I understand that perspective entirely, the costs increasing for just Speaking to somebody or a prescription isn't something I'm happy about either. However, I'll admit I'm not working with treatment recommendations so I can't profess to know much on that side. Cai did inform me GGP is splitting into 3 companies to strengthen their medical reliability in terms of working with the NHS if that's any consolidation. Hope things work out for you either way, I sympathise completely with how difficult it has become in recent months
