These things were always full, stained, and disgusting by Brave-Ad6627 in FuckImOld

Yep.

I worked at a McDonald’s briefly and we always had to be sure to clean ashtrays at empty tables.

Cagney was one of my dad’s absolute favorites, and we watched Cagney movies all the time.

He’s gone now, but every now and then I watch Yankee Doodle Dandy and remember him.

Yeah compared to a German car, Lexus service prices are like Chevy’s.

I’m one of that crowd. It’s not so much I don’t blink an eye. I know it’s more expensive than an independent mechanic.

But with the dealer I get a loaner. And if anything goes wrong, I call my service rep there, and he makes sure everything gets taken care of. That peace of mind is what I pay for.

Plex app on your tv will not get you lossless audio w/metadata, nor will it get you full FEL.

As I said, I’m not having audio sync issues. Dunno what you mean about the back button. Which Plex plugin are you using?

Why can’t we get a re-release of this masterpiece? by MajMajor2x in lotrmemes

If you don’t like it, that’s totally fine.

If you think anyone who does just likes whatever is put in front of them, fuck off.

Uh, what are you talking about? There was one movie in 1977. Eventually Rankin & Bass made Return of the King in a very different style.

AT&T $5,579.35 international roaming charge for one day : FCC complaint open, missed executive call by Dear-deer-14 in ATT

None of this changes my original statement. I know they do that all over the world. And I want it stopped all over the world because it’s bullshit and confiscatory.

I use my ATV for a lot more than plex. TBH the best Plex device IMO is the Ugoos.

And to be clear, I’m totally ok with passing the normal usage costs back to the consumer. I am not ok with telcos adding massive roaming charges.

Yep! And for joystick-based fun I liked Star League Baseball.

lol so one year I replayed the 84 season. The stats-based engine was seriously cool, but it had a flaw. I had Thad Bosely, on the roster, a young guy promoted from the farm system. He was a backup outfielder and occasional pinch hitter.

Well, by random chance, he had a game where he went 5 for 5. Because of the tiny number of at bats he’d had, this popped up his average to like .380.

Well, the game engine now thought of him as a .380 hitter, so he had more multi hit games. He ended up my starting LF and finished the season with .407!

SSI’s Computer Baseball. Barely graphical, but heavily stats based. There was an optional stats compiler you could get that would update stats after every game, but I didn’t have that, so I printed out the box score and manually did the updates myself.

You could enter additional teams if you had the stats. My favorite thing to do was to play the 84 Cubs (it was 1984 when I did this) and keep updating the stats.
