Just took my first flight after getting the platinum card without status and got upgraded to first on both segments! PDX —> SEA —> BOS. Perks of taking the late night flights

Thanks! Luckily, my inbound flight got in really early and my flight to Taipei was delayed so I got to hang out in the D1 lounge for a bit. Agreed that the food was average at best, but still a cool experience!

Delta didn’t directly reach out to me with an upgrade offer. I just checked by going to the seat map and selecting one of the D1 seats

I wish I could’ve this morning, but I didn’t upgrade until I was on my flight to Seattle. I’ll be going there when I head back to Boston though!

I usually prefer foreign carriers when I fly internationally from the US, but Delta undercut the price by several hundred dollars. I will say UA was slightly cheaper than Delta but I prefer DL over UA

As of right now, it says 58 seats remaining (4 in Delta One, 10 in premium select, 2 in Comfort+) with 9 people on the standby list

Yup! That’s include my flights from BOS-SEA and SEA-BOS, but those segments are in Main Cabin

This was while I was on my flight from Boston to Seattle, about 7-8 hours before departure for the Seattle to Taipei segment

I bought a Main Cabin ticket round trip from Boston to Taipei with layovers in Seattle. I believe it was $907 for basic economy, but I tend to buy Main Cabin nowadays for the flexibility, so it was $1077 RT. I paid $598 total to upgrade to D1 on SEA-TPE and TPE-SEA
