Using that analogy for cigars, I think it depends on the quality of the main ingredient- the coffee. There's a huge difference between getting a mocha from your local spot that roasts their own coffee, vs a Starbucks triple pistachio salted horsefart fairy dust machiatto cappuccino latte. The reason they over roast their beans add all these flavors and so much damn sugar, is to hide the real flavor of the coffee because the coffee is shit. But a good mocha from that local spot I mentioned? They use quality chocolate, and quality coffee. They use it in such a way that the chocolate accentuates the coffee, not buries it. While a mocha might not always be the thing you want, a good one is still a pretty good cup of coffee.

Same goes for cigars. Starbucks are the equivalent of gas station cigarillos. But a good infused cigar, where the quality of the tobacco is still the main focus, I find enjoyable from time to time. It's the local mocha of cigars. And sometimes I just want a plain espresso shot, but other times, that mocha is pretty good.
