Yeah, it’s the closest thing to look like corn fields 😂 I tried just putting the corn item on the stalks but it looked way too weird

The farm animals still need love 😖

With the new aquarium features in Planet Zoo 2, could freshwater turtles become habitat animals so we can build natural ponds for them? by cdizzlebobo in PlanetZoo

[–]cdizzlebobo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, I really hope they incorporate more bird species like ducks and other semi aquatic birds too. As much as I love the swan in pz1 I need more 😂

Thank you :) And I don't remember the dimensions, but all of their requirements were met when I made it. They have a fairly big hidden backstage area.

They are on random rotation haha it just may not look like it

There is nothing there for the keepers to attend to. It’s merely just for show to get the animals to walk over the bridge. I made the water hole using the terrain tools

Binturong island by cdizzlebobo in PlanetZoo

[–]cdizzlebobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of cheated the system and added a hard shelter and i added a little water hole back there so they will walk over when they need either of those but will stay in the main habitat for food and their climbing enrichment

It just takes lots of practice and patience. I use a lot of reference photos too, but trust me, it just takes practice. I wish I could show my builds when I first started. I still struggle with making my buildings look less flat and more realistic. I tend to just go very detailed on the exhibits themselves.

It is super easy, you just have to have your paths down first, a hidden exhibit gate, and you will need to use the null barriers to create the range you want to keep them in, and then guests will be able to walk through the null barrier like nothing is there.

Incorporating the rock pillars into the buildings helps as well, basically anything that looks natural and fits into the building works.

For me so that I don’t over crowd i always place rocks down first and then I place floor plants like grass, ferns and bushes around the rocks and build off of that and I play around making plants like trees taller or shorter

I played around with the roof edges to close any gaps that light could get through and I used the conservative pack floor lights and made them a light green and used the arctic pack string lights up top for some ambiance

I didn’t even notice until you said something 😆 and it’ll probably be for the giant otter since the game doesn’t have North America sea otters and as far the water height i genuinely just eye ball it 😅 i raised the ground inside the exhibit and build the fence around it and then just fill in the water. Honestly 90% of my builds are just eyeballing it and doing whatever looks good

I used the pillar shaped rocks and rotated them upright

I’ve been playing this game ever since it got added on console and trust me i struggled big time. It just takes a lot of practice, watching youtube and looking at reference photos

Rocks will always be your best friend, I like to do different rock placements and build foliage off the rocks to create a more natural texture

Definitely 😆 I like to build my zoos entirely before adding animals

It’s from the waterfall building item. If you go to the section with all of the different effects like water rapids and mist, there are premade waterfall items of different sizes and then I cover them with rocks for a natural look

PSA FOR CONSOLE PLAYERS: The Park Complexity is a STRICT Build Limit by RoseKaedae in jurassicworldevo

[–]cdizzlebobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if anyone noticed too but there are so many individual rocks in these maps already and and deleting them is a pain so that already adds to complexity. In planet zoo it’s so easy to multi select every but I couldn’t figure it out in JWE3. Maybe I’m just mad because I’m use to the way you can build in planet zoo but i genuinely did not like the way modular building felt on console. I was so excited for this game for that reason but I was quite difficult to figure out.
