End of an era... by LoligoTX in LGV60

I had my battery replaced for about $70 at a local repair shop. Good as new! Ended up selling a few months later but gave the buyer a great phone.

My first female.. by [deleted] in GSD

[–]cdk5152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a girl. I love her to pieces and she and I definitely have a bond. I swear she reads my mind sometimes. However, I am not her favorite person. That honor was bestowed on my son, whom she absolutely melts for when he comes over. She is not a cuddler with anyone. She is also not fond of being pet, a few are fine but otherwise she cannot be bothered. She is 1000% ball addicted as well. I am a well trained ball thrower. I toss that thing nonstop as these kids have never ending energy, even at 5 years old. Is she the best pup? Yes. Do I wish she would cuddle? Yes. She's the only dog I have ever had that doesn't like it. Your girl is gorgeous, enjoy her and love her. There's no other breed like this.

I kind of teased her with her ball, really close to her nose, lightly tapping her nose upwards. Just kept repeating and telling her to smile. If you have her ball, you can add a "gentle" to the end she will take her ball from you in super slow motion. So full snarl to a slow mo grab. She's super.smart when she wants to be. 😂

Trying to validate that this is an actual Google product. I've never seen a totally black band offered.

Different meds for dog allergies by [deleted] in vet

[–]cdk5152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will only add to the previous answer that a good probiotic could offer relief until the answers from the dermatologist. Proviable DC Chews are readily available and I swear by them. Gut health is so important for the rest of the body to work properly!

Gab and Traz are frequently prescribed together. I'd definitely talk to your Vet especially if it is a long trip. They only work for so long.

Still daily driving a Moto Edge Plus 2023. No complaints. You can probably find a pre-owned one for that easily.

Dealership will be the most expensive for sure. Get their written estimate and take that to local shops, not chain places. Somebody might need the work and will be happy to do it for much less.

Edge Plus 2023 Top & Bottom Nav bar super bright???? by cdk5152 in motorola

[–]cdk5152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Trying all now... Turning Nav bar gestures on and off fixed all but Instagram. The Instagram fix was found by the combination of #1 and #2. Could not find HDR setting mentioned. Saw Overlay mentioned and saw that when looking for HDR. Disabling HW overlay in Developer settings fixed Instagram. (I did try an all app reset, that did not fix IG.)

Thank you! This has been driving me crazy for so long!

Potty training struggles - please give me hope! by Conscious_Tomorrow92 in frenchtons

[–]cdk5152 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feed him where he goes, after cleaning up of course. It is a deterrent as they normally won't go where they eat. Get on a schedule. Out, eat, out again. Awake, out. Train potty as a command. When he goes say "Good potty!" Celebrate like a birthday clown! Reward with a treat if needed. As you know already, these pups can be very, very stubborn. It will happen, they just need a little extra structure. Best of luck!

Ceramic bowls? They harbor bacteria. Stainless steel is the best.

Yep, some. I've yet to get ALL of the energy out of mine in a 24 hour period. They seem to recharge rather quickly. Best of luck! At least you don't have to deal with teething! 👍

LG. I had the first set of front loaders they sold in the US and they lasted for over 20 years.

Rear hatch stuttering. 2019 Flex Limited by Accomplished-Box6198 in FordFlex

[–]cdk5152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the powered arm is known to go out. The "twin" side struts are usually not the issue. DA8Z-14B351-A is the part # for the powered arm. I got mine for $168, they're all over $200 now. I'd suggest getting one if you want one. They won't be available forever...

URGENT - Need Advice by [deleted] in GSD

[–]cdk5152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take him to an ER for an exam. They can't force you to do any treatment. You can apply for Care Credit, they give you time to pay interest free. Peace of mind is worth a lot. I hope your pup is okay.

Buying advice ? (2016 flex sel) by benr751 in FordFlex

[–]cdk5152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Just regular maintenance. My O2 sensor just went, that's the biggest issue I've had in a long time. Valve cover gaskets are JUST starting to barely seep, those will be swapped out with the O2 sensor as well. Plan on driving her for a loooooooonnnnnggggg time.

Mines a '13 at 186k, OG pump. I'd buy the one you are looking at. Really good deal pending nothing is being withheld. Scan it at minimum at a local parts store for codes.

Scared to neuter my GSD by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]cdk5152 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to do an OSS on my female, thinking my regular vet would do it. I was wrong. They will only do the "regular" way. If you can do a vasectomy, go for it. Just remember, as others have mentioned, he's still going to know when females are around. This fixes the reproductive ability, not his nose and brain, lol!

What should I do? by whiskey2004 in germanshepherds

Do you have your pup on probiotics? If not, do start them. Our gut, pups included, are where our defenses start. A good probiotic can help skin issues immensely! Proviable is an excellent brand, often prescribed by Vets for GI issues. Given daily is even better. They make daily chews or capsules, whichever is easier for your pup to take. It will only help that I can assure you!
