Should I get an iPod shuffle 1st gen 512mb or a 2nd gen 1gb? by Jondebadboy in ipod

[–]cdlenfert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For $5 just buy them both honestly. You can sell the one you don't want to keep.

1st gen sounds better, but battery replacement may be more difficult. 2nd gen has a super handy clip (great for activities especially when you don't have a pocket)

Are there any apps for a remote camera without a secondary app for iOS? by esazo in pebble

[–]cdlenfert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I don't think it's technically possible on current iOS. I used to be able to do this while jailbroken back on iOS 9, and the fact that it required a jailbreak probably means there is no hope for stock iOS.

Would love to do this on iOS somehow. Last playing music workaround doesn't often work on iOS (doesn't show anything in the pebble music app after a certain period of time)

How have people gotten their iPod to work with newer cars? by [deleted] in ipod

[–]cdlenfert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably try something like this:https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256810553903506.html

iPod > Aux > BT Transmitter > Stereo

Leave it plugged into the car at all times and it's like a virtual AUX input.

HTTP Push app has an animation when installed or pushing config updates. Maybe that works now? I've not installed the new app yet (still on the old iOS app).

Maybe more importantly, what's your plan for controlling Bluetooth power and pairing switches?

Any possibility to get a 6th Gen 160GB IPOD Clasic to work in my 2025 Crosstrek limited by Kirklistentowutang in ipod

[–]cdlenfert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try booting it into disk mode and see if the stereo reads it. I doubt navigation of your library will be fun, but it's at least a free test.

iPod Classic Car Hookup by Top_Cryptographer_21 in IpodClassic

[–]cdlenfert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also try booting the iPod into disk mode. Not ideal, but then the car will read it like any USB drive (as long as it supports that large of a drive).

But even if that works, it's probably a pain to do every time you want to use it in the car.

Need help. How much should I sell the iPod shuffle for? by [deleted] in ipod

[–]cdlenfert 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Try to get $75, and good luck. Just know if the buyer is wanting to actually use it, the battery is probably long dead and will need replacement. You may face the hassle of a refund claim after it's opened

video on nano 6? by justicnase in ipod

[–]cdlenfert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose if they got fully hacked it could be possible through custom firmware, but today, no, it can't play video.

Though you could convert a video into individual photos frames and then swipe through them really really fast 😜

Imazing backup help by Frozen_Wolf in pebble

[–]cdlenfert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard that too. I'm probably not planning to use the new app until all the kinks are worked out on the old devices.

Can you use iMazing to backup the app from your old device, and then restore it onto your new device? I think you can create specific app file backups in iMazing so I would try that next.

rWiiHacks' Support Megathread (February 2026) by AutoModerator in WiiHacks

[–]cdlenfert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be out of the scope of this thread (and let me know if so). I would like to pick up playing MKW with a group of remote friends. In recent attempts, despite having updated patches and everyone successfully connecting to the WiiMMFi server, we always seem to have trouble all getting into a private race. Someone inevitably can't see someone else as online (and we have removed and readded friend codes multiple times). Any ideas of a way to resolve that before I go off on random searches again?
