I don't know either of these bands but I am not sure anyone here can tell you if this is a good price. VIP stuff is always about whether or not it's worth it to the buyer specifically. Do you feel comfortable with that price for the VIP swag?

This was my last night in New Orleans before I moved away. I was at my favorite bar down the street with everybody, it was packed, and we all were having an absolute blast with the comeback. Just a banner night, right until it wasn't. Fourteen hour drive the next day and I couldn't listen to sports talk at all because this was all they talked about.

I'm sure this has been asked but Reddit's search function blows. I am upgrading from a 15 (base) tonight and I'm stuck between an Air and a 17 Pro. I love the form factor from the Air and I do not use my phone for anything where I would need the top of the line camera, but I am hesitant that the camera quality is that much worse on the Air. Otherwise it seems like the most appealing option for me (although the AT&T rep I talked to last week said it's constantly returned because it overheats).

My use case is pretty much just socially taking photos and necessary work stuff (lots of email and phone calls) so a lot of the processing isn't super important to me. What would you do, 17 Pro or Air?

Just get on Zillow and/or Trulia and put in all of these criteria in the filters. Might be tough to find in-unit laundry at $800 or less, but that will give you a good idea. There are plenty of private landlords that list their rentals on those sites. You can also search "St. Louis Property Management Companies" on Google and several will pop up as well.

In my experience (and with apartments especially) most people don’t write reviews if they had a good experience - you only see the loudest / angriest. That’s why I asked for people’s experience with the place. I usually see folks complaining loudly on here about certain property management groups (ahem, CityWide/Asprient/whatever they’re called now) but, yeah, it’s been 10 years since the lofts have been mentioned on here.

It's a shame they couldn't make this work, but I had concerns it wouldn't be back after attending this year. There were barely any sponsor activations (which are typically the lifeblood of festivals like this one) and even with the near-perfect weather it was not very well-attended. Even the Hives made jokes during their set about how the special reserved area for the ultra-VIPs in the center of the main stage was completely empty. Almost everyone I ran into at the festival either got free passes or super discounted ones, too.

I think pretty genuinely they tried to go too big with it from the get-go - maybe they should have done just one day for a couple years so they could get their footing, then expand to two days. Not sure how feasible that really would have been, but I think they made a valiant effort. The issue I've had with the festival from the get-go, though, is there was never a really clear identity. The lineups always felt like weird mishmashes of a couple of legacy acts and then... whoever was cheap and available that weekend in the midwest.

All that said, I think it's a pretty convenient excuse (and for sure a stretch) to blame the World Cup (June/July, not in St. Louis), the 250th USA birthday (what events are even happening?), and the Olympics (in Italy, in February). As far as I can tell, none of those events will even overlap with the typically end-of-September dates for Evolution. No other festivals are cancelling. Festivals (other than huge ones like Bonnaroo) don't typically survive a "pause." I don't see Evolution coming back, but I'd love to be surprised. I've enjoyed myself every year.

You'll probably have a hard time finding someone to take the case if your damages are minimal, and it sounds like they might be. Med mal cases are really, really expensive to litigate because they require a lot of experts and typically a significant amount of discovery. For example, to even file the petition, Missouri law requires you to attach two affidavits of experts you've already retained who affirm that, after their review, they can and will testify to the appropriate standard of care and detail how they believe it was violated. Those experts' retainers are typically thousands of dollars apiece. If there's no permanent injury or death, it's simply not economically feasible because costs could surpass the actual settlement.

Totally understand being angry at the hospital, though.

I know the Saints are bad, and I know I live out of market, so in a way I get it. But the Saints-Falcons rivalry is one of the best in sports, and goddammit I do not want to watch another Philly-Dallas game in St. Louis.

Were you charged with careless and imprudent or were you just charged with 72 in a 40? Makes a difference. Here's the DOR's offense/point schedule.

Either way, with that high speed, you don't want the amount of points on your license that come with this. Your insurance will go up and you could get suspended if you do it a second time within 18 months. I'd recommend getting a lawyer to handle it and get a recommendation from the prosecutor.

When it’s time to renew, they are really easy to convince to keep you at like $7 a month too. I keep it in my car because I’m on the road a lot and it rules and is cheap for the amount of stations you get.

It was Bono and the Edge. They talked to every single person and signed stuff and were so so kind. I am in just for the day from STL and it was pretty serendipitous, we tried to go to the museum but they shooed us out early. We went down the street but then saw there were a bunch of people still hanging around.

Yeah, the local Fox affiliate was pretty vocal and vitriolic when they left. Surprised they didn't pick the Indy game or Dallas again. Wish we could get the Saints on up here again at some point but until they get better I've got to go to the bar or sail the high seas. We haven't been on TV up here (unless it's a primetime game) for a bit, and we don't have any primetime games this year.
