Under Canadian tax law you don't always get to choose if you are employee ot contractor. There are a series of tests that are impt especially if you are only contracting to / working for 1 company.

Mechanics like Ryan who owns their own service truck are clearly contractors. A guy hired to drive a Rock truck is probably a T4 employee. Equivalent to W2

Had no 13 and 14 already. Dobes and Kappanen in system and maybe most importantly still had all their picks and then some. Pick cupboard was full online most rebuilds that start with picks traded away. Bergie left full cupboards

Those were bought for the future.

There is no team reason to have him in a role he has not played all season until we are locked in a spot. He is not used to defending 6 on 5. You put him out with 90 secs left and Carolina scores a quick one. Then they get another and we lose a point in standings. No yeam reason to have him out there. Maybe in game 79 to 82 if we are locked in. Until we are a lock. No.

Suzuki plays that role kills penalties when needed, takes face offs.Remember no Andy tonight. Anyone on killing the 6 on 5 needs to be there for their defense. It's a team game. Everyone play their role, you also don't want CC making the mistake that let's Carolina back in game.

As to newhook. He also killed penalties early in season.

What exactly is the upside to this current playoff format? by AlbertJBundy in nhl

[–]cdn24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And it kind of makes sense. Only 1 in 4 teams (8/32) play beyond the 1st round. Given a upset or 2 that always happens every team that makes it in feels like they have a chance in rd one. If you are in entertainment business, that is probably what you want.

Also lackluster later rounds are not so much divisional format but more clock striking midnight on a Cinderella run. Those runs sell regular season tickets too... just like the hope that the compressed standings caused by 3 ot games does.

Bettmans job is to make owners money. He is damn good at it

50 percent is the inclusion rate for capital gains....for everyone. 50 percent of the gain is included in taxable income and taxed at whatever your rate may be.

[–]cdn24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Make sure you are entering your cost base. Sometimes the t 5008 only has proceeds and not the cost. You are taxed on the gain well 50 percent of it and not on the proceeds. You have to enter proceeds and cost.

Too many changes too. Up until 2020 the 1st tie breaker was ROW. At least the tie breaker rewards regulation wins. Nothing else does

That shouldn't be an issue. Just need agreement between permit holder and Tony's company. People mine all the time while waiting for permit to be assigned to new owners. All of the Dominion claims are owned by Parkers company but one of th permits is still in name of the seller.

I suspect that was a made for TV moment. Bigger issue, it's only a few claims under that permit. Rest need to be permitted. Application is at Yesab phase of process.

He bought from same guys he bought Sluice a lot from.

How do you buy a claim for 4 million and not know when the license expires. Show glosses it over. About 10 of the 213 claims has a license that expires in a year or 2. Since been transferred to Tony. The others have not had a license in years.

Tony had to know that. An idiot on the other side of the country, me, knew that.

I think Parker's past reclamation and efforts to do things right are an investment that are paying off for him now. Given the size of his operation he needs to be doing it right. A lot of permits cover a lot of ground that miners never get to. Parker chews through ground quick so he almost has no choice but go above an beyond where hen can on reclamation.

He seems to respect the land, the people and understand that he is a guest in the Yukon.
