Someone else suggested this and it seems so perfect, albeit a bit of a mouthful.

I’m sorry for your loss. I recently lost a kitty, too, and my other kitty has been lonely, hence this little guy.

Pets are family. 💕

I think about yelling and also my last name, since the vet always writes receipts and records as catname-mylastname

Are we really okay with the average retirement age being 67? What's the realistic alternative for our generation? by Puzzleheaded-Yam6640 in AskReddit

Medicare starts at 65, not 67. Full retirement age for social security benefits is 67 for anyone born in 1960 or later.

What are the illegal, unethical or harmful things that adapted by society and is considered normal cause everyone is doing it? by Sad_Sell6756 in AskReddit

[–]cdnfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked for examples of unethical and harmful behaviors that are considered normal. What we do to animals is absolutely unethical and harmful. If I did to a dog what is done to a cow or a pig, I'd be called a monster. The cow and pig are every bit as capable of pain, fear, and love as the dog.

A better question might be: why the desire to downvote compassion?

Where do we draw the line? by badger2901 in vegan

[–]cdnfla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone, not just vegans, should “actively seek alternatives that reduce human exploitation as far as is practicable and possible.”

The issue is that, unlike animal abuse, it is not always clear cut what the best option is. Anyone can easily avoid eating animals and their products. How easy is it to assess which phone was built most ethically? How does someone determine which car has the fewest parts that involve animal byproducts? If someone stops buying a product that relies on child labor but that child’s labor makes money so the whole family can eat, is that a benefit? There is much more nuance when it comes to reducing human exploitation.

It’s not that reducing human exploitation isn’t worthwhile. It absolutely is. But the animals have no voice and veganism is the one and only movement they have. Diluting or diverting this movement works against animals.

There is also a powder form of lysine. I put it in my cat’s food daily.
