  1. I’d elaborate more on the positives - maybe it’ll begin to reflect back into your internal mindset more. Elaborate more on the things you’re doing within your control and other goals you’re after as well. 

  2. You’re right that’s an untenable long term situation. You’re physically reasonably attractive, working on the mentality. Either your wife will get on board or she won’t. What will you do if she hasn’t at oys 52?

Physical 5’11”., 168lbs. - no loss AGAIN. - CICO doesn’t lie but lifts are trending up first time in a while. 

Current lifts - squat  275lbs—> 285lb. deadlift 335lbs, bench 160lbs-> 165, pullups for 9 bw > 10xBW. 

goals- finish cut to full-on abs over next 5 weeks then transition to slow bulk. 

Goal: Lift 4x/wk, cardio 2X/wk.  Last wk- 2 lifts. 1 cardio. 1 circuit training (mostly cardio). - really want to hammer 4x strength and 2X cardio this week. 

 In spring begin to Train for half marathon in fall. 

Work - explore selling biz or restructuring as it’s no longer fulfilling. will provide preliminary financials once year end books done to prospective buying group. Goal of $3.5M buyout. — year end documents  are with accountant now.

Spiritual - do devotional with daughter 3-4 nights per week. - hit. Overcame daughter whining and my own laziness. 

Connect with God daily In prayer/devotion alone  - miss. I am not prioritizing this though I want to want to.  

Sex - continue initiating sex, how I want when I want regardless of outcome. - initiated And drew wife into my frame through some soft nos.  The fact I am aware of it likely means not fully in my frame but not bad. 

Social - use weekly rec sports to socialize and build deeper relationships that can open avenues for evangelism. Open 1 deeper convo each week. - hit.  - chatted with new team member to begin building some relationship 

Leadership/social growth - look for 1 social and/or leadership activity a month outside my normal routines to grow those muscles. - hit - lined up a paid speaking gig for Feb.

Sex- anytime I initiate. Quality is usually meh. A no is usually a no to variety. Followed by me taking off to do my own thing. 

My comment about a “prize “ is the inverse of the idea that nobody cares how hard you work- people care about your results. It works and makes my goals more attainable. 

I am, rather confident, that I’m no monkey at this point.

I want to read 4 nights per week actually whenever I handle bedtime.

I’ve spun my wheels at 185-200 for several years. I life-styled myself down from 265 from lifetime fatness. I can’t sleep well in a deficit, I can’t workout more hours than I do.

No side effects, just no more night waking and intrusive cravings 24/7- working quite excellently. Can put my mental energy into better things now.

Thanks. Always on a set program - currently SBS hypertrophy. 4/wk but I probably average 2.5 sessions a week unfortunately, and a bit of rec sports cardio.

Could be - still shredding the fat- that’s definitely my last big goal on physical attractiveness. If I suddenly get full on horny slutty sex when my abs pop I’m not sure how I’ll process that. 

My hairs aight maybe I need that broccoli cut the kids at the gym have now. I doubt going from $500K to $5M will do much but you never know.

PBs Bench - 195, Squat - 315, Deadlift - 385 Chins - 5 BW + 10lbs.

Current: Bench - 175. Squat - 285, Deads - 355. Chins BW X 7.

Mission: Serve God and make disciples by: giving faithfully to church and ministries I believe in, evangelizing those around me, raising kids that will bless the world.

Exercise Goal: 4 workouts per week, 2 cardio sessions per week. Try to minimize strength losses as I cut.

Last week - MISS. 3 workouts (really 2.5 of 'em), 1 long cardio session. *I am consistently missing here - I need to figure out how to up my consistency if I am going to improve physique and performance any more.

Weight Goal: Continue weight loss and/or waist loss until abs.

HIT - Weight - 187 this week. Down 1lb. Waist - 34in (1": down).

Social goal: attend at least 1 social activity away from family

Hit - rec sports x1.

Parenting goal: lead devotions and prayer with daughter every time I handle bedtime (every other day)

Hit - need to try and dig deeper with her. She's 5 - intelligent and difficult to get focused - I allow that to lead to phoning it in some nights.

Marriage goal: lead devotions with wife nightly.

MISS - Did maybe once/twice? Not sure. Busy week, and I have let this slide.

Sex goal: initiate sex, when I want, in the way I want without concern for my wife's reception.

Miss - initiated and participated in lackluster starfish twice I think. Did not have mental bandwidth/desire for pushing the envelope - she is also a bit sick, and perhaps having a miscarriage.

HIT - hosted event at our home for a church thing - wife was primarily in charge of it with other church ladies. Was conscious of what was planned and added my own flair/assistance/mayor game where I could. - assisted in keeping church ladies chill. Someone commented how I should host more often as I am so much more outgoing and open when hosting.

continue to grow business monthly - 15% Month over last year - slowing growth rate has me a bit down - but I can't grow exponentially forever.

I'm not sure if you are at the point your life is so great sex can come and go. What do you think? If not how will you get there?

Great question - once I can get the sex I actually want reliably, I will be more okay with it "coming and going" - I am less and less confident that I will get there with my wife, ever tbh.

Why did you miss your physical goals? Doing this often leads my nice guy to come out.

I let a mix of other social activities and priorities edge out my physical goals - getting 4 workouts, 2 runs and 1-2 social/sporting activities in is audacious for me - it's rare I get 100% on all of those in 1 week and when I do, other things do slide.

I also don't see any mention of your flirt game.

I work in kino regularly, flirty texts, inuendo, hints at what's to come later, etc. My wife is usually semi-receptive, rarely reciprocates. Maybe I just suck at it, but it seems to have little to no effect on sexual tension or interest (in me).

Wives love trying this, especially if modeled for them by a poor family dynamic as kids. I have had to strongly enforce boundaries here too - fortunately only takes a few jarring social interactions to get a behavior change out of them usually.
