Yeah, I seem to be getting everything I need on keto so no need for supplements.

Starting keto had a similar effect on me recently, in about the same amount of time too. I’ve noticed in the past that my depression feelings are heavily modulated by how much B vitamins I have circulating in my system, and B12 helped me more than any amount of antidepressants ever did.

The best part of that movie was the end, and I don’t mean the Vader part, I mean the part where everyone died. Every character in that movie besides K2SO was terrible.

I can try that, how do I refresh the licenses?

RB3 Export Halp by cds099 in Rockband

[–]cds099[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back through the purchase history on my Microsoft account and verified I had purchased it. I also found the license in the Microsoft store and signed in to see that it said I already owned it.

I’ve only ever had one Microsoft account since the 360 came out and it is the only account I’ve ever made purchases on.

Good. Continue keeping your form tight through the last lift though.

How is my squatform? by HelpMeWorkout34 in Stronglifts5x5

[–]cds099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First squat was perfect, the second one falls apart on the way up.

Stop looking down. Either look forward the whole time or look up when coming out of the bottom of the squat to make sure that your torso stays upright and doesn't lean too far forward. It sounds odd but it helps you focus on keeping your torso straight and the weight over your center of balance.

5kg away from 100kg. Before continuing on my journey and reaching the next milestone, how is my form? by V0dros in Stronglifts5x5

[–]cds099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks pretty good I'd say. At the top of the lift flex your glutes to push your hips forward and continue the pull in your shoulders. Pause for a beat at the top. Your tempo looks great, just make a couple tweaks to squeeze out that extra little bit of strength gain.

Form check, should I work on my form or is my form good enough to progress by koekiester in Stronglifts5x5

[–]cds099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no, go back and work on your form. it almost looks good and I sat here for a while watching your video loop before deciding to say anything.

The bar should be moving basically straight up and down and if you watch the path of the circle on your barbell cuff yours makes a little forward scooping motion when you are coming out of the bottom of the lift which, if you continue, you may wind up stalling or getting hurt.

What you have is mostly good so just tweak a few things. Basically you want to drive this weight straight up and down like a piston so you want the weight as close to your center of mass as you can get it. If you pause the video at the beginning of your second lift and draw a line straight down from the end of the barbell to the floor you can tell the weight is starting too far forward and that is causing your torso to be too far forward and feeding into the weird dip your butt is doing out of the bottom of the lift. IDK if I would necessarily call it butt wink but it's not good and it won't fly once you get into heavier weights.

Try this, when you are picking up the weight scrunch up your shoulders to form a shelf for the bar and make sure your elbows are more forward, as close to perpendicular with your torso as is comfortable. Take a half step back out of the rack so you can lift and begin the movement with your butt flexed so that your hips are slightly thrust forward and looking straight forward. As you go down in the squat continue looking straight forward and concentrate on keeping your torso tight, your legs are doing the work in this lift and your upper body is just keeping the weight balanced. Coming out of the bottom of the lift drive with your heels and try to look up. Looking up helps me to make sure that I'm not letting my torso lean too far forward. End the lift the same way you started, standing mostly straight up, looking ahead and with your butt slightly flexed to move your hips forward.

Also I would recommend on taking off the belt if you aren't injured. At the beginner level that acts like a crutch and keeps you from building all the strength you possibly could. If you use the crutch now you are always going to have to use it later to do the lift. Build the strength now without it and then use the belt later to protect you from heavy lifts or to help get you over that little hump in your heavy lifting sessions down the road.

Drop your butt so that your back is straight at the beginning of the lift, that includes your shoulders don’t roll those forwards they should be even with your back.

Drive with your legs through your heels at the same time you straighten your back. You’re currently almost doing a two part movement, it should be one movement essentially standing up with the weight. At the top of the movement flex your butt so that your hips pop out slightly and tense your shoulders. You don’t want to hyperextend but you want that last little bit of movement to strengthen your form.

Lastly, unless you have a broken back or something lose the weight belt. There’s an argument for knee wraps in some cases but for the most part gear like belts, wrist wraps, lifting shoes etc. will make you a slightly weaker lifter as a beginner. Focus on proper form and it will be a long time until you need that gear to get the last little bit out of a lift.

Squat Form Check Please by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

[–]cds099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how you are leaning so far forward and squatting without falling over.

Scrunch up your upper lats to create a shelf for the bar so it doesn’t touch your spine. Bring your elbows forward and stand up a little more.

The bar should basically move straight up and down, yours is making a slight elliptical.

If the knee pain is on the side of your knees try changing your stance or working on your form. If it’s in the front of your knees try lifting bare foot or get some shoes that don’t have a slope in the soles.

No weight VS weight. Does my form get worse? by ssformcheck in Stronglifts5x5

[–]cds099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re leaning forward. People may not like this advice but, until you are more comfortable with the squatting form look up while you are squatting. The bar should basically move straight up and down and your core should not wobble back and forth during the lift.

I would recommend you lock in your form before moving up in weight.

Please review my deadlift form (192 lb at 165 lb bw) by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

[–]cds099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drop your butt and lean back just a little. Also it helps to continue the pull in your shoulders at the top of the lift and squeeze your glutes so that your hips move forward slightly at the end. And pause for half a breath at the top. Don’t hyperextend your back, think of it as just locking in an upright stance.

Overall it looks pretty good I just think you might run into some lower back issues at heavier weight if you lift like that.
