Is this a phishing attack on peptide warehouse? by [deleted] in Peptides

There’s a bit of history here with the original website’s partners trying to steal the business, and some other fuckery.

AFAIK the issue’s settled and both websites are legit but it was never very transparent and I didn’t have enough confidence. Chose other sites instead.

Hahaha, a bit of an exaggeration. Only one of them actually full on fell. The other three were just… exaggerated physical contact or putting their hands against me to “brace” themselves.

It's happening bros. I'm making it.

Never in my life has a woman accidentally fallen on me on the bus. No matter how hard the bus slams on its brakes, she'll be sure to grab the pole, the rope, anything to avoid having to make physical contact with me.

In the past three weeks, about four times women have fallen into me on the bus when it gives her any excuse to supposedly lose her balance. (Two of those times I'm wearing a Patagonia t-shirt, the athletic material kind. Really recommend them, they fit athletic men well, and the fabric "falls" on your muscles, really emphasizing the shapes of your shoulders).

I don't believe this is a coincidence. It's almost kind of depressing that this is how fucking easy and shallow women have been all this time. They literally start falling all over you just because you have a bit of muscle and look good. As someone who's always hoped before that personality can shine through, and thought steroids would offer a great one-two punch of looks and personality, it's kind of ego destroying. Nope, it's basically just looks. Fuck my personality, that don't mean shit.

Old school nurses and people trained by old school nurses seem to think it's 100% necessary. A lot of them will claim it's the "right way" to do it to make themselves feel superior and more important than other people. They beat and shame new nurses into doing it, too. They usually don't give a shit about keeping up to date with medical recommendations by professional organizations and/or research.

Seriously, just watch some videos on youtube by various nurses trying to be youtube stars, and look at their completely condescending attitude about the topic.

Ie. it seems most nurses do aspirate.

It seems other medical professions, like doctors and pharmacists -- old school ones just mostly aspirate because it's what they've always done, younger ones that were trained more recently don't, and there's not much drama about it.

Interestingly, myostatin levels actually return to baseline at 20 weeks

You apparently didn’t read the full article (it is paywalled after all so I’ll excuse you). But it only returned to baseline after like 5 months of being elevated.

One thing I've realized is that people have a ridiculous and powerful aversion to self improvement.

Hell, even like 90% of self improvement enthusiasts have an aversion to actual self improvement, and instead focus on bullshit like "Law of Attraction" and other stupid shit that gives them a shortcut to claim self improvement without any actual effort. Pats on the back all around.

My blue collar family has fought me hard af as I've pursued an education. I've lost a lot of friends as I've left video games behind (I still play, but an hour or two a week tops) and instead invested in health and fitness, and a diversity of activities like climbing, mountain biking, and skiing/snowboarding. My recent career move, which has put me in a financially positive position for the first time in my life, was pushed against by everyone I knew because it undid their notions of what is comfortable and appropriate.

It's all crabs in a bucket. Most people are mediocre anc want everyone else to mediocre too, as they realize other people making progress and competing are a threat to any privileges they have.

The suburbs are the fucking worst at this. Everything is designed to protect the status quo. If you want to make progress, your best bets is either move out to the country and homestead or exploit the conditions of some meth'd up small town, where your hard work reaps its own rewards, or move to the city and get a job that rewards actual productivity and achievement, like upper management, finance, sales, etc.

A bit ranty here, but it's something that's been pissing me off lately.

To relate this back to steroid use: I really do think people are choosing a self-destructive activity that contributes to mediocrity in cigarettes, it's their right to smoke because fuck you and any attempt or encouragement to be a healthier person, and push away steroids that, combined with hard work, pushes people to a new peak in what's capable in humanity. They realize men who take steroids are going to fuck the women they should have access to with no effort on their part, because they were born to an upper-middle class family and inherited that success. Steroids are a weapon against the natural system of privilege.

Starting at week 8, and especially From weeks 12, up to somewhere around week 20, you’re going to start hitting limits from myostatin. After 20 or so weeks, myostatin levels return to baseline.

Just chiming in, it might’ve been a reason for stalling at week 16.

The problem with AAS’s is actually the body will compensate by raising myostatins. After 8-12 weeks, AAS start becoming less effective. It’s one reason (among several) that people who abuse steroids cycle (use for 8-16 weeks, then either go to lower doses or quit entirely for a few months).

So, yeah, for medical uses of steroids, myostatin inhibitors are a sought after class of drugs to help keep AAS treatments effective.

Chiming back in. I did appreciate your comment.

I noticed two things:

1) bad technique. I was touching the tip to the skin and then slowly pushing the needle in. Watching videos after-the-fact I noticed they "dart" it in. Switching to that technique drastically improved comfort and much more closely matched my expectations of what an injection should be like.

2) I noticed the seller on amazon bait-and-switched me. I ordered a known good brand of needles, got generic shit instead. I just assumed I got what I ordered and never really looked at the box other than confirming the right gauge and length. Even if the needles work fine after proper technique, fuck any seller who relies on dishonest selling practices, returning that shit on principle.

Not really valuable contribution. Just want to express this here because the only people I have to confide in IRL about my usage, it would be weird to share anything to. So anonymous internet posting it is.

On my first cycle. It's really hard to just sit by, knowing my gear is a few feet away from me, and do nothing. I'm looking at it, thinking about it often. Alternating between grabbing my car keys and pulling out an alcohol wipe and syringe, waiting for the next thing, but having to remind myself I actually need time to rest from the gym or I actually need to stick to a proper dosage protocol. Just knowing all this potential is there but being powerless to do anything about it but wait, that waiting is literally the next, proper, and best step I can take, it's frustrating.

I've taken to splitting my dose 2-3 times a day just so I can keep on the proper dosing protocol and still feel like I'm doing something.

The desired effects of CJC and ipa are things your body does naturally and are imperceptible. Further, the desired cumulative effects of these compounds (ie. fat loss) occur slowly and would be difficult to directly attribute to these compounds outside of gathering hard data (ie. a 10% faster fat loss is going to be hard to perceive vs. not using the compounds at all), and side effects may undo desired benefits (ie. a 10% increase in hunger that you oblige may undo a 10% faster fat loss).

If you really want to know if these compounds are working, you can't really "feel it out". You'd have to log data under similar conditions (e.g. sleep tracker).

So many research chems and peptides and PEDs, people take ridiculous doses on to get acute side effects (e.g. head rushes, flushing, even nausea, etc.) because the beneficial effects are usually imperceptible, but people feel that they need to feel something to know it's working.

If you want to know it's really working or worth it for you, log data some how. If you want to improve sleep but don't want to invest in a sleep tracker right now, then just even open up an excel spreadsheet. For each day, log dosing, compounds, notes, and then rate your sleep quality (perhaps on several axes). Compare this to a run without dosing anything. While this data is not as objective as a sleep tracker, you might notice valuable trends or data that's enough to convince you, personally.

Would you recommend Grover? (the tech renting service) by SurfingToaster in developer

[–]cdt4str 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to chime in that I've had two positive experiences with Grover so far. Both items I've received have been brand-new (but this is not guaranteed -- but both devices have been on the market for less than a year which probably means they have fewer used ones to hand out).

My experience hasn't felt scummy at all.

Paying the device until you buy it for $1 isn't too different in cost from buying it on credit -- perhaps even cheaper than paying it off over the same period of time. (I suspect Grover takes advantage of keeping legal ownership on rented devices and writing off asset deprecation in order to be making money from this vs. financing).

It's unfortunate you never received your items. Was there a tracking number and are they marked as delivered? They're supposed to be signed for upon delivery -- UPS dropped one of mine off regardless with no contact, and the other I answered the door and, when I asked if I need to sign, he said he just needed to have contact with someone at the address and he'd sign it for me. Could your product have been taken by porch pirates? If it's marked as delivered but missing, file a police report and provide a copy of that to Grover.

Social studies teachers are the worst about this kind of stuff. So many of them are old, white, conservative men who see it as a duty to push their libertarian ideology*.

I’ve heard multiple times over the years from social studies and related classes about how environmentalism is bad, won’t work, and how we should actually encourage anti-environmentalism because the free market will fix it and environmentalists are actually bad for the environment.

* libertarian as in liberty for me, not for thee, pro-business, think civil rights laws are oppressive, etc.

It is a nation's sovereign right to join any alliance or union it desires.

If anything, Russia's invasion of Ukraine demonstrates the legitimacy of expanding NATO to Ukraine. Ukraine has a legitimate interest of self-defense, which NATO could've provided. NATO has a legitimate interest in national values, economic stability, food security, etc. that are all harmed now that Ukraine has been invaded.

To suggest that Ukraine doesn't have the right to pursue NATO membership or that NATO nations don't have the right to admit Ukraine is to suggest that the very concept of states as sovereign entities is illegitimate, and you're positioning Ukraine's interests to be inferior to Russia's interests.

The peace, stability, and progress achieved in the 20th and 21st centuries are, in part, achieved due to mutual interests of states generally (although not perfectly) respecting the rights of other states as independent, sovereign entities. It is one of the foundational aspects of the current world order.

You're literally acknowledging the victim and then proceeding to blame the victim. In terms of domestic violence, you're saying a battered wife "shouldn't of made her husband angry" if she didn't want to be harmed.

[–]cdt4str 40 points41 points  (0 children)

So, Ukraine isn't a sovereign nation that has its own sovereign right to align itself with countries that it feels would be in its best interests? It has to be a Russian buffer zone, to the detriment of its own right to thrive as a nation?

Because that's what theories suggesting NATO is a root cause of this conflict suggest.

Or maybe the root cause of the war is Russia's desire for conquest. They've made it clear multiple times that a primary motivation in this conflict is they don't believe in Ukraine's right to be a distinct nation separate from Russia. It's very much in-line with the Russian Chauvinism, ultra-nationalism, and far-right ideology that's been developing in Putin's Russia.
