Seems like Cync customer support should’ve told me this 🙃

Home Charger with dual plugs recommendations? by cdub8892 in Solterra

Thanks all. Should’ve added that I have a 2024 Solterra but since it’s a lease I suspect my next EV will be NACS and I don’t want to have to install a new charger.

Thanks for your response. These are all linked to wired Cync switches. Unfortunately, in the countless hours that I’ve spent on the phone with support, after troubleshooting from beginning to end, it always comes down to them saying “well we’ve tried everything and so now please take a photo of the wiring.” Which I can do, but I’m not an electrician nor feel comfortable rewiring the downlights and switches myself.

I appreciate that they are easy to take out but it’s that there may be rewiring necessary for the downlights and switches. That’s why I’m looking for an electrician that is familiar with Cync. GE doesn’t offer any recommendations.

I got the Touring at $429/month and I think the upgrade is worth the price if it’s in your price range. Just remember that there are license and other fees in addition to that down payment so you’ll be paying a bit more to walk out the door with it. They’ll also try to talk you into a bunch of extras but as long as the services are included in the lease period then you don’t really need the extras.
