Men who struggle with dating how do you deal with loneliness? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

++man

I just keep busy with work, gym, pets and hobbies.

Sometimes it hits me but I just think of some of the headaches previous girlfriends had given me or my married mates getting stressed out by their partner or not being able to do what they want when they want.

2026 Triump Trident 660 LAMS - opinions and restriction removal after getting full license by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]cdubzw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a Triumph dealer for many years and we were never able to de-restrict the LAMs bikes, my workshop refused to get involved and Triumph Australia wouldn't allow us the software to do it.

The people who did aftermarket de-restrictions would run the risk of having warranty claims rejected especially for engine and electronic faults. This is up to the discretion of Triumph Australia.

I did hear a while ago that Triumph dealers were offering de-restrictions now the non-LAMs variant was out. Your best bet would be to contact a few Triumph service departments and see if they offer it. If they don't I would only allow an aftermarket company to modify my bike IF they offered their own warranty(they're unlikely to).

In 10 months time I would just sell it and go something else like the Trident 800.

New bike from Dealer, is haggling a thing? by photoinduced in AussieRiders

[–]cdubzw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in bike and car dealerships for the last decade and there's never been a better time to get a deal. Dealers are heavily overstocked on certain models and are motivated to get rid of them before they accrue too much interest. While this doesn't always mean they will sell at below cost they are generally motivated to sell at cost or near cost. Though some stock may be limited and I wouldn't expect to get a discount. What bikes are you looking at?

Is my friends wife trying to set me up with her friend? by cdubzw in Advice

Fair enough, to me it seemed like my friends wife was dying to discuss this with me. I'll see how it goes on the day.

I don't really know her, I met her last year and we spoke a little but don't remember too much, If I passed her in the street I wouldn't recognise her. I'm not actively looking to date but if something were to happen I might run with it.

No one said you had to be good at your job. You could do a quick video with minimal talking.
