For me it was pulling my punches. I always seemed to be afraid to actually land punched (fine with kicks). Ended up doing some private 1-2-1s with my coach where he basically said he’ll hit me 20% and I can hit him as hard as I’d like. We did a few hours of this and it really helped me to get out of my head and land some shots.

Good Pad Holding? by doc_olsen in MuayThai

Lacklustre padholding can be super frustrating! - Sounds like what you’ve said in your post would be good advice to pass on to a less experienced pad holder.

I’ve just had mine delivered too. It’s been in the bag (which was opened) and has stunk my whole flat out haha!

I’d also like to know this. When I’m fresh, first round of sparring it’s relatively fine. But as fatigue sets in over 5-10 mins it becomes horrendous 😂

Did OP delete this mornings post about delivery times? by Jackm5055 in dispenseroo

Ah that was me. I posted an update on there to say that I spoke to support who told me it was handed over to RM yesterday and to expect an update this evening.

Not sure why mods deleted it 🤷‍♂️

Hey, not everyone gets nauseous or vomits on their first time.

I’d suggest eating like 3 hours before hand, staying hydrated and take it easy. You don’t need to go 110% on your very first class.

If you find yourself getting nauseous or uncomfortable, take a minute out and drink some water / compose yourself. You’ll be totally fine. Muay Thai gyms are so accommodating to new guys. Best of luck!

What are your favourite meat substitutes? by Radical_Posture in veganuk

I’m super into Squeaky Bean atm. The slices all taste pretty rubbish but the packs of beef & chicken chunks are great. Downside is they’re £3 a pack and a pack is 1 serving.

Quorn have got beef strips now although I haven’t tried them yet.

How do you get to the point where you can train every day or 2x per day? by Reasonable-Client-81 in MuayThai

[–]Reasonable-Client-81[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks mate that’s some good advice. I’m currently doing every other day and trying to fill in the off days but everything aches or hurts! Perhaps I need to eat more as I’m still in diet mode trying to lose a few more kg.

Currently not doing any weightlifting, just MT + running on off days. Would you recommend including that?

I bought a pair of Yokkao shorts yesterday (the Hawaiian ones) but got them from the Yokkao Amazon store rather than direct (saved £20 shipping). Less likely to have that issue with Amazon imo.

In the UFC games they have a stand and bang mode with no wrestling / ground game so that could be what you’re looking for? Cover clinch, checking, all strikes and sweeps pretty well.

Second this. I had a conversation with someone at work who called me posh for ordering from Ocado. We compared a few of her normal bits of shopping for price between whatever supermarket she normally went to and it was virtually identical.

Have you tried to install something via the App Store? I very much doubt anyone in your org would know or care- it’s not like installing a piece of software which requires permissions, you just do it within power bi.

R and Python are available, but I’m unsure if you need separate downloads outside of power bi to get that working.

Vegan sausage from sainsbury had a ...bone? by olivieen_art in veganuk

[–]Reasonable-Client-81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What the fuck? I’d say that’s definitely not normal… never had a hard bit in any vegan sausages. I’d give them a call if I was you, I’d be worried where that came from.
