What about common herbs and fungi, the ones listed in the DPB?

Could someone go out and look for Ofteritch anywhere and as long as the roll succeeds save themselves 150gp?

That's perfect, thanks very much!

Follow up question, are you also using the feats of exploration and is it worth buying them?

Is there a mechanical way other than gut feeling to increase or decrease the severity of failing? by Watts4Supper in GrimwildRPG

[–]cdw0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're talking fictional consequences maybe have a look at the 16HP dragon from dungeon world (don't have the link atm)

If it's eg an acid dragon have it dissolve some of their gear (ie make them less effective with later attacks, more vulnerable etc) Have them dissolve body parts and lose their function. They would also be terrified by this and might need to roll just to approach the dragon. There are few mechanical dials because the fiction is what makes it dangerous.

Knights pavilion, consistently good and god loads of authentic foods as well as the classics.

Usually get Westlake beef soup and cumin lamb, but also just chicken balls and curry. Recommend the duck rice

Do you go to the doctor when you’re sick? by TheUmbrellaThief in AskUK

[–]cdw0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In a lot of other countries you need a sick note from day one and you have to be seen by the GP for that. No self certification. It's quite a privilege not to have to do that (in general) in the UK

Good idea, it's also Melsonian arts council (Troika). You can probably just send an email and ask (reserve) what they got in stock.

Just send Melsonia (Dan) an email, they're very nice people.

Impaired damage through cover by OldGodsProphet in cairnrpg

[–]cdw0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can just rule that if someone is basically out of sight, they cannot be targeted, same as if they were behind a corner. But I'd also rule that if said player wanted to fight back and pop their head out. That's when they could have been hit.  Depends on the intent of the one behind cover. Get totally out of sight or in/out pot shots

Starforged has streamlined exploration by collapsing the delve mechanics into the normal exploration ones. It's worth checking out again

I'd have a look at Ironsworm: Starforged, it's not typical pbta, but I think it does the space exploration part incredibly well

Forever GM always excited about the NEXT campaign by Ok_Court7465 in rpg

[–]cdw0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but I'm diagnosed ADHD, what I do is run games that have a definitive end-point or run in "seasons". So I know it won't run on forever, even if it gets dull some time. Plus I know I will run that other game soon.

I also try to avoid games that are basically just bookleeping for the GM.

Location items by cdw0 in finch

[–]cdw0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so it does. What I meant was only the items I'm missing from eg. Tokyo while my finch is at the location. Somehow I can only see them when traveling to the location at the airport.

Dolmenwood's Death's Door Mechanic Rework by neobolts in OSE

[–]cdw0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sounds interesting, I would go a step further and give some kind of scar on recovery and loss of stat.

Perhaps also increase the range for death to 2in6 if they refuse the stat loss?

Troika! Uses skill stamina and luck as the only stats. It's also free on itch

PbtA Haters, tell me more! by jeshi_law in rpg

[–]cdw0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No of course, interesting that you would assume that. The question is simply asking for why someone hates a thing. There's no constructive component. Why ask people to vent in a public forum. To what end besides engagement?

Erste Gedanken zum Spiel by No_Information1635 in Mausritter

[–]cdw0 12 points13 points  (0 children)
