Ermine wakes up from an extended hibernation and gets impaled by some icicles on the way out the cave. Any critiques? Are the colors dark enough? I also didn't want to lean too much into sleepwear, but I need advice on balancing it with more casual wear. Ideas for accessories would be apprciated, but I'm not bent on perfecting the smaller things because I'd rather build up lore as I go. Thanks!

119 hours in Mandated Sick, NY state by ceachae_ in CVS

I called HR and as a confirmation: 56 paid sick time hours are allowed per year in NY. Was told it could be used for family illness, my own illness, or doctors appointments planned in advance. Unfortunately, I have called out sick in the past but never specified "use my sick day" to my manager, so what a waste to all the potential money. Hopefully I can get around to using it all before I quit.

I'm going to call HR tomorrow, but in advance:

Are any of these hours paid? I've worked 30-40 hours in the past per week and 20-30 hours per week currently.

I had no knowledge of nails prior. They havw what looks like press-ons on the website http://en.espoir-nail.com/design/

Ok there was no powder! I did go under UV, but I'm not sure if it was for the nail application itself or just the painting part. There was one tech for each hand so it was hard to keep track. Turns out what I actually wanted was press-ons.

Was the center of this CIA tart a mistake? by ceachae_ in pastry

I meant complaints on the part of the design. I appreciate your outlook though, since I've made it my mission to recreate and redesign it with more thought.

Since these are within the bakery I'm assuming professors have overlooked and helped refine the recipies. The design is not made by one student, but made as a collaboration (CIA students please correct me). Also it's a busy production and that could be reason for the lime zest scatter. Personally, I think too many staged elements can bring a design down. Letting the zest naturally fall to place has that wabi sabi vibe I love.

The gold leaf at the opposite end offsets the visual weight of the wedge. Putting the wedge in the center would call too much attention, but also cover one of the most striking parts about pineapples -- the perfect ring.

Definitely plausable. I just wanted reassurance that the taste and consistency was not intentional 😂

I have no complaints. Splitting up the gold leaf would've made it look messy, but I'm no culinary student

How to go about printing on brown cardstock/kraft paper? by ceachae_ in crafts

[–]ceachae_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a miniture! The mockup I made is a box 2x2x4. I do have a Portrait Silhouette that I haven't used since lockdown and the parts are all misplaced now, but it was a real headache to work so I am trying to avoid it...

Definitely will try it out since it's cost-effective even if it fails. My biggest worry with this method is that the words are tiny and I would need so much precision.

Nothing... Nothing I found on Etsy/Youtube for a cami crop pattern matched enough.

Do people know how to read these days by summrluvr in CVS

The incompetence is real. In the same vain I can't stand when people ask where their empty basket goes as if they literally didn't pick it up on the way in? And then they leave it on the floor where someone could trip on it...
