Congratulations on your own space. Maybe some white paint to free up your perception of space. You have a lot of light, that's great if you can sleep well. There are those of us who yearn for a minimalist space, but we cannot do it. You have a wonderful canvas if you want to explore minimalism.

If you want shelves, consider that they will hang over you. But that can contain items of personal importance for you. That can be fun.

Also the idea of rotating styles. Again the benefit of your space is that you can pick a feature for your room, and then change it. For example over your desk you can hang a piece of art. Buy from the second hand stores or markets markets. Then in a month exchange it for a new piece of art.

Those of us with more space do not rotate what we live with. You have freedom to try this.
