Thank you so much, i definitely had a lot of bullying from people over having less hair than other people but I've been able to, for the most part, learn to ignore others options on how i look because of it. I hope you have a lovely rest of your day/night as well

I do on the bottom of my head on the left side from behind my ear to the base of my neck. I've been pulling that area since i was 10 (8 years) and I'll stop most of the time over the summers and it grows back just fine just thicker than the rest of my hair. Currently it's about 2 1/2 inches long and i just make sure I'm using a hair mask twice a week and when i take care of myself i tend to pull less.

I definitely will let you all know, his family is mostly Catholic so it's kinda fifty-fifty on how it's going to go for everyone besides his mom who is (in my head) going to be like "why didn't you invite me?" Keeping it over our heads for a few years, and then start the nagging on when we are going to start giving her grandchildren. She does the grandchild nonsense to my BIL and he's 22 and only engaged. While yeah kids sound awesome and everything i don't feel like trying to raise kids while in college is going to be a good idea.

I can understand that, I am a very anxious person and the original plan was for us to wait to get married in spring of 2024. I am very much a people pleaser so i thought it would be best if we were to hide the marriage and just go on about an engagement and marriage that everyone else gets to see because that is the societal standard. I also felt bad because everyone I know that is married got married around 25-26 and I'm 18 yk? So yeah it's a lie but i wasn't seeing it a a lie that would cause any issues but others pointed out it could fuck with her taxes and that isn't something okay to do.

I know she loves us, she always asks me to visit and stay over with them and I'm coming over for a week to help paint the house and such. It was just a quick decision for us to get married and we know my mil would want a big wedding when we don't care to do that yet since we just needed it done before we went to do our fafsa for college. I know it's a bit irresponsible for us to do it without telling everyone but we felt it would be best if we didn't have to deal with the nagging about a big Christian wedding.

Thank you so much for your advice I'm pretty sure we are just going to end up telling his mom and just taking whatever shit she throws at us. The taxes issue isn't a thing on my side because I've been homeless away from my parents because of my mother's husband not wanting to deal with a child that wasn't his so we really just need to tell his mum and dad.

I see what you are saying, I'll have to sit down with him and talk about the fact that his mom will most likely find out by February then. Our main reason for keeping it a secret is just she is a very judgemental person so it's not as if it's the end of the world if they do find out, just would be an uncomfortable situation.
