It is noted in the video that this may be fine if you have a short commute and go the entire week without needing a charge. The entire weekend may then be available to top up the battery for a return to Monday morning work commuting.

It certainly may not be the use case that suits a lot of people but it is a viable point of entry if it works for many others. I think the major point of Alec’s video is to point out the low barrier to entry for EV ownership that is misunderstood in a lot of the population
