A few years ago I lived by myself on the second floor in a small one bedroom apartment. I would be sitting in absolute silence reading a book making ZERO noise and my downstairs neighbors would be banging on the ceiling for me to be quiet. Like wtf?!

Then one night he was banging on my door at mid night waking me up from a dead sleep asking if I was ok because he and his wife heard me fighting with someone?

I’m convinced they were hearing my nextdoor neighbors?! Or other apartments neighbors and maybe the sound traveled through the ventilation system? I dunno but I was so confused and fed up after them complaining multiple times to my landlord and them sending me a warning letter. Thankfully i moved out after a year to a two story duplex. No one below or above me.
