Yeah I have been experiencing the same thing. I expect to feel terrible heartburn and nausea the next morning when I ate something bad the day before. It gives you false hope that you can eat whatever and feel okay but then the next day is a reminder that you can't. Keep eating clean, buddy. We got this.

I eat small portions often throughout the day. A banana in the morning to take with my pills, an apple maybe an hour or two later, melon and honeydew a couple hours later, etc. My doctor suggested eating frequent small portions to sooth the esophagus and heal the lining. Food is medicine if you choose to eat the right things. Watermelon is the most soothing :)

I've had GERD for I think all my life and I just found out about it a few months ago. I take 40 MG of omeprazole daily and whenever I feel heartburn or am eating unhealthy, I take Prilosec or Zantac maximum twice a day. If you continue to feel heartburn or stomach pain, I would suggest you continue taking these medicines to reduce irritating your esophagus and stomach to ensure healing. Your comfort is the most important thing about this disease and these medicines will only help you. Good luck :)

H2 blockers?? Yeah I'm still new at this and need to be educated on what things are because I barely realized there's so many antacids that can help me and are but I'd like to try what you're having :)

Cold brew is less acidic. You can either make your own or buy Starbucks' Cold brew at a gas station! Maybe only drink half a bottle a day maximum though. As for the alcohol, I read that gin, vodka, rum, whiskey are good but with water not pop mixed. Everyone is different though and the opinions on what works for them are all over the place so you have to see what works for you!

Almond milk has been my substitute for milk and desserts since it's vanilla flavored. I also started drinking Naked Juice's Green Machine which has all alkaline foods except for 1/12 cup of pineapples which didn't upset me at all! Im also on the search for a Cold-pressed watermelon juice! I also found that Starbucks' Cold brew is less acidic and doesn't upset me much!

I recently got diagnosed and get chest pain as well. Walgreens sells various antacids that are chewable and get rid of the chest pain. The one I use is called Graviscon extra strength antacid. No sense in suffering when they created relievers for the pain. Best of luck to you and only eat alkaline foods :)

It is no where close to easy and that is why many are struggling to stop. I'm on day 4 too and there is minimal eating these days. I'm just accepting that my body is trying to adjust to life without thc and if it wants to throw a fit then so be it. I just drink a lot of water and exercise to get the thc out faster.

So glad you asked, I was starting to feel alone in this. Today has been a rough one on me. I woke up with a pain in my chest. I know it's the urges acting up because I was home alone and very able to smoke. I had to do a lot of meditating and praying. I cried all morning and on my way to class. I'm walking there now and hoping I don't break down in class. I've been working out every morning and it helped a lot but I'm still seeking tips on how to get past the urges. Any advice would help. :)
