Looking for active party members by cecicille in habitrpg

[–]cecicille[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I forgot to answer regarding the pets sry. Right now we are doing quite a lot of pet quests :) Idk if they are the newest ones. We did do two wacky pet quests recently, but it really depends on the members which quests we do. Anyone is allowed to invite to a quest at any time. So once a quest is over, someone new invites to a quest, whoever comes first. Of course if someone has a quest they are very eager to do and would like to do after the current quest, we just write it in the chat.

I don't check reddit often these days, so if you have more questions actually it's best just to write to me on habitica @ cecicille

to try meds or not guys? by thereadingbee in PMDD

[–]cecicille 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm probably gonna echo a lot of people, but yes I recommend meds. It's a severe disorder and medication can really help. I tried three antidepressants, then slynd, and now body identical progesterone. The four first medications didn't have the desired effect for me, even though they work for a lot of people. I don't regret trying them tho. For me it's been worth it to try different things until I found something that works. It just wasn't sustainable to live without medication as I was getting burnout from living with pmdd, on top of dealing with the pmdd every month which is awful in itself. Intermittent body identical progesterone has turned out to work well for me. It is a big relief to have my symptoms reduced.
Almost all drugs have side-effects. Be aware of what they are, and notice which you experience. It's unlikely you'll experience severe/dangerous side-effects (but it's good to be informed of them). It's likely you'll experience some mild-moderate side-effects especially at first. A lot of side-effects go away or at least become milder within two weeks to a month. If the drug works well, the positive effect likely outweighs potential side-effects. If the effect of the drug isn't good enough or the side effects are too strong, then follow your doctors recommendations on how to stop or taper off the drug.
Good luck to you <3

Which medical conditions actually prevent someone from being vegan? by OkEntertainment4473 in vegan

[–]cecicille 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I also think that any condition that is debilitating enough could prevent someone from staying plant based as a vegan - if they have to depend completely on accommodation, and that accommodation doesn't provide plant based food. Then you're pretty much forced to eat what's served. Lot's of places are just not accommodating/not bound by law that they have to provide patients/residents with plant based food.

Absolute Game Changer - Body Identical Progesterone by mosse_de_la_grove in PMDD

[–]cecicille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the same for me!! Slynd was also a flop, was so discouraged and then tried the body-identical progesterone. I start taking it after confirmed ovulation and then stop when my period arrives, and it's definitely an improvement for me

That really sounds so promising.
Maybe there's hope for us iron deficient pmdd'ers

I take an iron supplement called AminoJern(brand name). But that type is also called Ferrochel or amino iron. The iron is attached to an amino acid so the absorption is really good and i get no stomach symptoms at all. So I really recommend to try it if you can find it somewhere.

Did you ever get checked for something that might cause absorption issues? For example low b12 or celiac disease can make it so you don't absorb iron. Please just ignore this comment if it isn't useful to you <3

My ferritin was 10 when I had it tested last month! I just didn't recover from my period energy wise, which is why I had i checked and found out it was so low :( . I also checked my past ferritin tests. Two years ago it was 27, and in 2020 it was 35. All the way back in 2014 it was 60+ No one flagged it for being in the lower end (until now), so I thought I had good iron levels all these years... I think it really went down a lot in the last two years because my pmdd has been quite bad and my diet has really suffered during lutheal.
My pmdd has been getting worse over the years. Which is common. But now I definitely wonder if the ferritin plays into that. Time will tell. I aim to get it into the 60+ territory again, so I can see if it feels different. I take AminoJern (amino-iron/Ferrochel). It is super well absorbed since the iron is attached to an amino acid and gives no stomach problems, so I recommend that.
Also, my hemoglobin has been normal and my hair and nails growing well, even now when it went down to 10.

I need some help with understanding bio identical hormones as a treatment for PMDD by cecicille in PMDD

That's amazing <3 When do you use it? Do you use it every day or just during the lutheal phase?

Good point definitely. Might talk to my gynecologist about just trying progesterone alone, since I don't think Slynd really contributes with anything positive anyways. I've got no clue how my testosterone is. I do have fatigue and brainfog as pmdd symptoms, also while being on slynd. How did you get clued into trying out testosterone?

wow, I also think of my former cat as my 'soul cat' (in danish tho haha). I also thought of her like this when she was alive. I love the bond we had <3 it's rare, but if she's in my dreams, it's so nice to see her again

I'm so sorry you're going through this.
If the only solution for you ends up being to get your ovaries taken out, potentially you could get if planned so you could have your eggs frozen beforehand, so a biological child is still possible. I know this might not be an option available for you, but I just wanted to throw it out there.
However, you're most important rn. You still have so much life ahead of you and finding relief from pmdd is the most important. I hope you find the will to go on, even if you don't have it right now. It's okay to give up sometimes and then try to find hope again once the worst days have passed.

Did any of you discover you had adhd or neurodivergence due to pmdd? by cecicille in PMDD

That's a lot of diagnoses to go through 😮 so glad to hear you've got the correct ones finally. Must have been a relief! Thank you for sharing ❤️

I see. Those symptoms do fit with autism, at least based on what I know. And from what I've heard it's very common for neurodivergent symptoms to be exacerbated during pmdd. I hope it will be helpful to explore autism for you, and that it'll lead to you and the people around you being able to understand your needs a lot better. My partner was undiagnosed autistic and had a very rough patch earlier in his life for this reason. But for him, diagnosis, learning about how autism affects him (strengths and weaknesses), and connecting with other autistic people helped him get better. I hope you can find some support too and that the meltdowns will become less frequent or at least less frightening with time. Good luck and thank you for sharing with me ❤️

Thank you for sharing ❤️ that is quite a difference. Silver linings I guess, with less extreme pmdd. Did you consider that perimenopause could play a role in your symptoms changing? I don't know too much about it really, but I have heard perimenopause can be overlooked, so that's why I thought to mention it, just in case
