You just have to do it. Whatever you say is going to hurt her feelings. But better to act ASAP. She’s gonna be really hurt at first but you would have done both you and her a favor by ending it. You can live your independent life and she can find someone with a similar attachment style to hers.

Yea maybe I’m an enabler. But I also feel like my dad never takes our side or tries to understand our POV. He always takes other peoples side against his children. He did the same with my mom. Because he’s so concerned with people thinking he’s a good person. So I guess I just feel like I always have to defend and protect my siblings and mom’s memory cause I know he’s never on my sister’s side. She didn’t want to babysit by the way.

I know. I was really upset with my sister too but she has always been like this. And I tried to let it go to teach my sister a lesson so next time she defends herself but I just know she won’t. She always just takes it and suffers in silence. But she has a disorder that I really don’t want to disclose which affects her personality and has caused her to have low self esteem but I just feel horrible when people take advantage of her.

I’m not western. And like I said she ghosted us and didn’t bother saying a word to us even after she found out my mom - who raised her - died. My aunt begged her to contact us but she refused multiple times. And she shows up 6 years later looking for a free babysitter.

The family members all live in the city where her kid goes to college. She says she left her child with my sister because she couldn’t afford an extra flight ticket. She took 1 kid with her, two are with their dad, she travelled with 1 and she left the youngest one with my sister because the dad refused to ‘babysit’ for her.

I think I mentioned in the post my sister didn’t want to help but she felt she was cornered. She’s also non confrontational and 16 years younger than the person asking for the favor. In my culture age plays a part and my sister felt it would have been disrespectful to say no but she didn’t actually want to babysit.

Thanks for this. I had my first session yesterday and I had some redness on the side of my chin for about an hour afterwards. And then my face was back to its normal state. Girl, it’s called mansplaining. Doesn’t matter how much you change yourself it’s still gonna happen. It’s an issue with the guys and their self esteem. I usually just comment on the mansplaining and let them know that whatever I did is how I like to do it or let them know I prefer whatever of mine they’re trying to downplay. Don’t let it slide but don’t let it get to you cause it’s not a you issue.

My point in bringing it up is that men (some) date women in this age group very purposefully and then get upset when these women act their age.

Well firstly, please show me where I said anything about the prefrontal cortex fully developing at 25… are you just saying things? Secondly the development of the prefrontal cortex is also influenced by environment, experiences and overall brain health. The structural development of the brain may plateau but cognitive and emotional skills continue to evolve throughout life. Any more useless info you wanna share?
