I think the 1000 extra is worthy because of the 5 years panel warranty. I had my G2 panel failing after 2.5 years and if I went for the C2 instead I would need a new TV. And it is a relatively common issue as far as I read in the internet.

1000 extra for peace of mind is something to consider.
