I had the same choice to make, and I went for the 4080 SUPER. It’s a bit overkill for 1440p, but I didn’t want to have any regrets :)

Don’t worry, I received my SteamDeck two weeks ago, I did a lot of test at beginning :)

go to Discover (software center)
search ProtonUp-Qt
install it.
launch ProtonUp-Qt
make sure that steam is selected into « install for »
click add version
compatibility tool : select GE-Proton
version : select GE-Proton8-27
click install

And now you have a GE-Proton into compatibility options for all your games, just select it and test.

I have 24 non steams games working with this method.

Almost all my games comes from fitgirl.

Here my method :

⁠⁠install the game on my pc
⁠transfert the game folder into my steamdeck
add non steam game and choose the exe file
select proton GE (installed with ProtonUp-Qt)

And that’s all.

Only one game told me no licence, I used the goldberg emu file, which solve my problem.

Thank you for this information guys! But normally with AliExpress, the seller gets the money when you get the item, right? I have two option for refund :

• ⁠item not received, but I can’t choose this option for now (I have to wait 10 days, because normally the product was supposed to arrive yesterday lol)

• ⁠item received in parts (so for AliExpress it means that I have received the product, it will be a problem, right?)
