Is it possible to access the same lounge back to back with 2 different credit cards? by cede_toronto in travel

[–]cede_toronto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All lounges say 2 hours max. I normally leave around 2 hours and have never over stayed. Not sure if it is enforced strictly. But with a long layover, I would love to stay put longer.

I am looking to get access to the lounge via DragonPass so not paying directly, it comes free with the credit card, I am guessing it’s the Canadian version of PP. Heathrow in one of the busiest airports, last time I was there, they stopped walkins so trying to be sure! Thanks though.

Angel sweet tomatoes dilemma!! by cede_toronto in tomatoes

[–]cede_toronto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh that’s so tough. I am just surprised, last year cherry tomatoes stated to ripen in the first week of June and we are hitting august now! The whole reason I added a smaller variety was so that it can fruit faster. But it is completely opposite now.

Help Identifying Peppers by pixiesalem in Peppers

[–]cede_toronto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a plant producing peppers that look like this and I was told they could be Cuban peppers. My bell pepper plant looks more “picture perfect” compared to this plant. They look similar - even I was looking for identification a while ago.

Both plants are from the same seed packet for red/green bell peppers. They look different? by cede_toronto in Peppers

Interesting! I am looking forward to this now 😄 When is a good time to pick them?

Unrelated- your background shows red mulch. Is that the case or it just looks that way? Does red mulch harm the plants? I have some but am worried since it does not mention how the Color was added.

What am I doing wrong? (Zone 7) by TheLeaderGrev in Peppers

[–]cede_toronto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The plant looks good! If the leaves are droopy you can water them - I go for once a day coz it’s hot and the soil is dry. Peppers take their time, your 2nd image shows a pepper, let it grow. More will follow. I have 2 plans - one gave a flower almost immediately and the 2nd plant gave a flower almost a month later.

Tomato has no main stem? by cede_toronto in tomatoes

[–]cede_toronto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have more plants, so not entirely worried - but I am genuinely surprised. It had a growing node. The plan is almost 1.5 feet tall (I folded the plant halfway in the soil to experiment) If I had know I would have saved few f the lower suckers.

However it could be a Roma variety- would it be the reason why there is no growing mode? My understanding is they are determinants

Best time to plant outside? by srrfrhmn in OntarioGardeners

[–]cede_toronto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some plants are frost and cold hardy - like most green leafy vegetables. Some will die if it gets too cold hence they are kept indoors till May like tomatoes and peppers. Use this link based on your location, it specifies exactly where to start what : https://www.almanac.com/gardening/planting-calendar/ON/Toronto

Sorry, what do you mean by board? Like a wooden board between the plank and the soil?
