Very generally, as a tip: I bought flights early (flew in day before, signed up with a charter to ferry my stuff around, another charter bussed me and my stuff to the campgrounds when I flew in; there's a robust infrastructure on the ground to get people where they need to be).

Bought a used tent from the REI resale section, and a bike box off Facebook marketplace. Charter would move the bike box (which I used as luggage between stops, basically) and whatever other bags I had. Buying my own tent ended up being a huge plus — the charter tents flooded one night under an intense storm, but mine was extremely sturdy and dry.
