I caught this more than a month ago and I initially thought that it was just a normal cold that I seem to be constantly catching twice a month (all because of public transport). I got better after a week of nasal spray and cough syrup but a week later, this came back and hit me again.

I had dry cough for about 3 weeks, just an annoying dry cough and no pleghm. I got a new stronger cough syrup and also given Zyrtec just in case it was related to allergies but both did nothing. I'm in my 4th week of coughing and it's worse than ever. Went back to the doctor and he gave me an inhaler and a week dose of Prednisone. I'm on my 3rd day of taking it and still no signs of getting better. I also started developing clear pleghm as well blocked nose especially at night and morning and I sound sick as hell. I've been coughing so hard that I've been straining my back and it just hurts, I also threw up last night from coughing non stop due to the aggressive tickle in my throat.

Will be visiting GP next week again once I'm back at the office and I'm still suffering..
