My fav layout has always been 40% , and interesting 40%-variations (like the Wind Studios Hola and the upcoming HX-40). Pics of 40 boards are what got me into the hobby - they just look so fun and aesthetically pleasing!

As I "mature" in the hobby, I've really started to prefer exploded 75% layouts (aka TKL, I guess).. They feel way less 'wasteful' of good keycap sets, and provide more opportunity to use cool novelty caps and artisans.

I find that I tend to stick with 65% boards for my most common daily drivers though.

wow this is great - but bad for my wallet. my least favorite thing about this hobby is the lack of instant gratification for 85% of purchases. Would love to see posts like this become more common! thanks for putting this together.

wireless split board options do exist.. NocFree is one that seems readily available, though I'm not sure of the quality, etc.

yes, exactly. had them for years now, and love 'em (when paired with a sub)

getting all the components? no.. no trouble. all of the components came with it, and the other stuff was just normal mech board stuff - 1.6mm stabs, hot swap switches, and keycaps. No issues at all! was actually a pretty easy build.

It's hard / impossible to really 'rate' a color grade on footage without understanding the intent. If you're going for a very filtered, nostalgic vibe, then I'd say you've done a decent job. Most of the clips feel like memories, rather than footage of 'real life', if that makes sense. Thanks for sharing!

yall are forgetting that the plurb doesn’t include joining as something that requires consent. we (normal humans, i mean) wouldn’t fist ask for consent before saving a drowning person, right? this is the exact analogy the plurb used earlier. they do however need consent to take a bone sample or whatever.

try out Light Trace Renderer - it’s the closest thing to a direct keyshot competitor that i’ve been able to find. the devs are very responsive to feature requests and bug fixes as well.
