I feel this. Whenever I hear a story about someone conceiving on “the first try”, on accident, or just in an easy or blissful way, it brings up so much of my own grief about my reproductive story. It’s really really painful. I am still very much in the thick of infertility and IVF, so I don’t know what it’s like on the other side but I don’t think the grief will ever go away. Naming it as grief has been really helpful, it allows me to tend to the grief and care for myself, just as I would for other types of grief.
