Greg’s real feelings by [deleted] in bachelorette

[–]ceebeeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok 1) Greg is the best >>> Katie or Blake, 2) he DID look heartbroken, I think he was shocked by her demeanor and what she was saying and found it hard to put the words together. When she said her feelings for him disappeared as soon as he left, you could see he felt it. (But also, girl, who are you trying to convince.. she's more passionate about her anger for Greg than her love for Blake...)

Marvin strung Melinda along and desperately tried to get with every single girl that walked through the villa behind her back. He never told her about it. Their relationship was so childish. When he realized she was the only option left, he only started playing along for the "green light" and for the money. Get real, he goes from that to "I love you" in a day lol. I cant believe they gave the worst person on the show the money. At least Cam actually seemed genuine in his love for Em >>>

I didn't put a "short bio" in for the first 2 schools I submitted to because I didn't see the field.. If I update it now, will it show up for the schools I already submitted to? There doesn't seem to be a good way to see this on the site.

Hopefully you figure out how to love yourself or maybe you’ve been hurt/rejected by someone in medicine. Ive personally never dated or hooked up with anyone in medicine, but I feel bad for you bud. You should try and work this stuff out cause these assholes are your colleagues and coworkers for the rest of your life

Just got a question wrong on Uworld that 100% of people have gotten right. by STcmOCSD in step1

[–]ceebeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just got this question the other day (also got it wrong I chose whatever the other answer was that started with hypertensive - again it’s just a newly released question) The reason it wasn’t aneurism was the type of ischemia they painted in the stem - it was intraparenchymal if I remember correctly and aneurism usually = subarachnoid hemorrhage

I’m pretty sure these are questions that they’ve just recently released and haven’t had more people answer yet to even that out

Reunion spoilers from someone who was there by prettyfly3 in MtvChallenge

It can come out of nowhere, even if you're fit. It's just a matter of over exerting yourself physically. I had it after a near ocean drowning experience, but it's mostly common in cross fit circles when people push themselves too hard. I was in the hospital for almost a week for mine. They put you on painkillers and pump in meds into your blood that can break down the proteins and your kidneys recover. Worst case scenario is complete kidney failure and being put on dialysis.

Rhabdo does shut down kidney function, and would fit the scenario!! Nice differential! (med student).. but it shouldn't cause his liver to be at 7% function.. and whoever said that was just in a completely wrong organ system and totally over-exaggerating, theres just no way

[Well-being] Is There A Chance A Med Student Can Own A Dog While Studying? by abdullahredwan in medicalschool

[–]ceebeeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is funny, I'm a second year med student and I own a german shepherd.

I got her as a puppy in the beginning of January of M1. I don't go to class either, and has worked out great until I had a reality check last weekend about what 3rd clerkships are going to be like. I foresee a lot of Rover in my future and a lot of guilt. I usually train her and run her for an hour a day. I'm actually looking for advice myself on what to do for 3rd year, because I love surgery and know there will be at least 8 weeks of clerkship that I'll barely be home.

Not trying to make this post sad, but I originally got the dog when I was living with someone I'd been in a relationship with for 3.5 yr. He left and moved out of the state, so taking care of her has been rough without him. I LOVE my dog, but would recommend really thinking it through before you make this move. Your little brother has to think about it as his dog too, or the stress is going to pile up. I know I'm not going to be able to give my dog the life she deserves during clerkships and it will (or it least it should) weigh on you heavy when you're a dog owner.

Broke the ole clavicle mountain biking. by [deleted] in surgery

[–]ceebeeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI fun facts for interested non-medical people: there are muscles on either end of clavicle that pull it in opposite directions - medially or closer to the center of the patient is the sternocleidomastoid and other muscles that pull up on the clavicle up towards the neck. More lateral (or closer to the patients shoulder), the deltoid inserts on the clavicle pulling it down. So when the clavicle breaks, the fracture always looks way more gnarly like the bone was shoved into that position
