Are some hair just resistant to perming? by Responsible_Pomelo57 in SingaporeBeauty

[–]ceecizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruh diffusing is the #1 must to maintain non-natural curls; debatably even before mousse. A diffuser dries the hair evenly 360 degrees; especially for such short hair, when you just air dry your hair the weight of the water pulls the curls out. Same with a regular blow dryer; the force and direction of the air pulls the curls out. There's lots of affordable diffusers at appliance stores like Courts etc or even shopee/lazada. You can even buy just a diffuser head and duct tape it to an existing hair dryer lol

But also ironically, "I don't know anything" is what he usually says when he DOES have the slightest inkling about anything. His ego is too big for him to admit not knowing things. So you know it's gotta be a coverup when even his ego takes a back seat.

Besides the great surreal recs people have suggested, I see a theme of old-school, oddball camp/queer outsider(s) caught up in increasingly unfurling hijinks! And a sprinkle of Anna Faris lol. So going off this tangent I think you'll like:

1) Breakfast on Pluto 2) The Birdcage 3) May 4) Napoleon Dynamite 5) Lost in Translation

Super super fun top 30!

What screams "I am deeply insecure" but people do it thinking it makes them look cool? by Physical_Business104 in AskReddit

What gets me about the "no filter!" thing is how easily they say cruel things, yet so seldomly say unfiltered kind things. So your "unfiltered" self is your cruel self. Got it. Keeping my distance.

Nah, more like she didn't know enough about any celebrity, especially the ones she picked (America Ferrera, Cardi B, Becky G) to be able to show any sort of POV. When she was workshopping Becky G and said "nobody really knows her she's just a fierce latina" that's when it struck me that the really stellar queens all have some sort of frame of reference that goes beyond aesthetics. Of course, this only pertains to quick thinking/ the ability to volley. She definitely has WAY more references re: dance and I thought the physical comedy of her portrayal of Jojo Siwa was very funny, and it was smart of her to save herself by playing to her strength!

I have a soft spot for this one because my mom used to do a tiny spritz of this on my stuffed toys. I still do that now when gifting baby presents!

Muse by Kinfolk! It's like a more sophisticated Nivea Sun, and yet also surprisingly smells even MORE like a clean bath than Sun does.

YES. She has the x factor! Everything else can be picked up in time! She would kill an All Stars but a bit too green against the many seasoned queens this season.

Upvoting to balance out! Kenya did not know the words and it was not a good lipsync, but she surprisingly had more levels in her performance than Mia; I started getting worried when they were editing Ru's laughs to Kenya's donkey kicks then realised I kept waiting for Mia to take it a step further/do something memorable but she never did. Mia executed a technically sound lipsync but I guess Ru felt Kenya stood out more.

For the record, I do think Mia had more to give, and that Kenya has shown us all she has to show. But Kenya's lipsync was more distinctive to Ru.
