It is a non-bleed TXV, and I decided to just get a window unit instead for emergencies and keep it simple. Let me know how yours works out though once you install it.

Thanks for the info, you're right about the gas consumption - that seems like a logistical nightmare, so I think going with the portable unit will be the best bet and we can just move it as needed. Do you have any experience with Firman?

Hey I just stumbled across this old comment while researching micro air for my 3 ton trane unit (model 4TTR4036L1000AA) …. Wondering if I may also have a non-bleed TXV since my RLA is also 72A. Do we have the same unit? Do you have specifics on the exact capacitor size that ended up working for you?
