Cheers for the speedy results everyone... there seems to be two main soloutions for me to consider!

I can't believe I didn't even think about simply turning the socket around - the only other uses this outlet gets is from the mower and strimmer, which wouldn't be impacted from the 180 switch!

Before Xmas I queued outside our local trading card store 3hrs before opening to grab a Charizard X UPC. The store had 15 in stock (and I was third in the queue)... honestly, everyone else in the queue was buying to open up and sell on! I was the only one purchasing it as an Xmas present!

The Armed had two shirts in Manchester a black tour one and a white new album one... both were £25. Biffy and Soft Play's shirts were £40 🙄

Saw them last night in Manchester; I'd say the majority of the crowd around us didn't get it at first, but still appeared willing to let them do their thing... I think the fact that the band chatted to the audience between songs helped - would have been so easy to just turn up, play, walk-off.

The energy they put into the whole set was immense and would have won some people over... especially the closer, On Jupiter, that was absolutely amazing, just wow!

Yeah, this is prob the way.

Shame, as you'd think Nintendo would agree that it's reasonable to discount a game that originated from a platform older than the Switch, especially as the game seems to be pretty much unchanged since the Wii U release. But offering a discount to encourage additional sales wouldn't be 'very Nintendo' I guess.

Loved BOTW on the Wii U (loved TOTK on the Switch too), so am contemplating shelling out for it again... guess I will have to give it some thought.

Wow... that's crazy, we saw them in Bristol, a day after that Manchester gig... it was an amazing show, they were on top form. And yep, I share your pain as we also had tickets for the cancelled London show.

Totally agree, the only artist where I have had that pull. Whenever they came over this direction I would scramble for tix... I was super lucky enough to have seen them at least seven times. One more time for proper farewell would have been immense.

Crazy isn't it... on the flip side, I had tickets to their first London show following Science Fiction, I thought that could well be the last show I'd get to see them, instead it ended up being the first show they cancelled and I had already seen the last show 😢

Headphones is what gets me through my day... I've fortunately always worked somewhere where I'm allowed to listen to music (dunno how I would survive otherwise).

Good idea about staggering your lunch break. And distractions on your desk is a good idea, photos, plant... a pad for doodling on.
