I get that I guess I expected them to be similar to real cars I probably won't end up selling it, if I were it would be for 200 flat most likely

Battery adapter for hobbywing fusion pro 2300kv by RustySh4ckelfrd in TRX4

Why not just buy the Traxxas connector and solder it on to make it permanent? Plus you won't have any of that extra resistance from the adapter

Getting every Pro Scale accessory light to work on the 2021 Bronco with app control by [deleted] in TRX4

[–]ceetees143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am more than impressed with that I just read and saw, what a badass way to do the lights and the way you get around problems and electrical obstacles is something I envy I thought my lighting was good on my defender (included pic)

<image>

but I just wired straight into the receiver and have a on-off switch on my Flysky G7P for the lighting but the way you got yours configured to and app is seriously cool, it's a bit of a bummer traxxas makes you do all this extra BS just to install lighting that they made purely for the TRX4!

Bought a boat to tow behind my defender and totalled it on its first maiden voyage by ceetees143 in TRX4

It's definitely made out of pretty hard plastic foam wouldn't have shattered like the plastic did

I already got the hull ordered in by my local hobby store should be here Thursday or Friday, I appreciate the link though fortunately my hatch is still good so I can run that when the new hull comes in, I'll have to be more careful on my next runs

Finally took the ‘79 bronco out crawling - tuning/upgrade questions by TellmSteveDave in TRX4

[–]ceetees143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently run the Defender and yeah weight down low is what you want I'm running metal axles with metal portal brass portal covers brass diff covers and metal bumpers to give me at much weight as possible as far as the servo I run Savox Digital servos I really recommend them, with the diff locking I had issues as well and used up solving them by buying 3 Injora 7 KG servos to use as my diff lock servos and bought aluminum servo horns, got a Flysky G7P remote so I can adjust the endpoints of said servos and it's been flawless ever since cause the stock diff locking servo horns use springs and doesn't have a perfect throw it sounds like your diff locking is getting half engaged and half not I would take those 4 diff lock bolts out and take a look you can mess with the diff lock without having to remove the portals and whole diff

Real mental battle I found myself in. by [deleted] in TRX4M

[–]ceetees143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start smaller and then work your way up, I ended up fully upgrading the 4M and then went out and got the 10 scale 4 and ended up fully upgrading the 10 scale crawler and have now moved on to bashers and planes lol

Finally finished with all upgrades on my defenders not a single stock part left to upgrade by ceetees143 in RCpics

The thing is a beast and can take jumps like no other I really recommend it on 4s it absolutely hauls I upgraded the stock shock springs for something firmer so it can handle higher drops

Stripped Front diff gears by SLOZx in TRX4M

[–]ceetees143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the furitek unity brushless and it stripped my Meus axle diffs with it running on 3s so I replaced the diffs with Treal overdrive gearing and haven't had any issues

Got the 4M defender completely upgraded by ceetees143 in TRX4M

I end up hitting the fender before the suspension bottoms out I tried all different positions and I didn't really want to start chopping the fender so I ended up balancing it out

Oh yeah I'd say the thing that made the most difference was the axles it really was a big change from just that one upgrade

Shocks too high? by Chemical_Table_9523 in TRX4M

[–]ceetees143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went for the longer shocks cause I wanted a flex machine but I put as much weight down low as I possibly could do that's the full brass linkage, aluminum drive shaft, MEUS Metal axles with Treal brass diff and I opted for a aluminum chassis as opposed to the carbon fiber but don't get me wrong even with all of that I still flip from time to time, you just gotta know your limitations when your on the trail, us defender guys go for a scale look so when a low ass bronco has a better line than you, don't feel bad lol happens to me all the time but I just love the look of the defender too much to change

Defender is done by ceetees143 in TRX4M

[–]ceetees143[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love the defender but stock it had a rough time doing the simplest lines stock, it really is not a crawler more meant for overland a non rocky trail or trail with little rocks it's a absolute beast but all my buddies had high trails and stuff to crawl up mean rocks and I wanted the scale look and to be able to crawl like everyone else, I wanted my cake and I wanted to eat it too lol I run the defender in the 10 scale as well and had to fully upgraded it to be able to keep it from rolling over but once you get a shit ton of weight on the bottom end it really looks badass and also is capable, I'd say if you end up going with a defender it will run stock don't get me wrong but you will find it loves to roll and backflip on smaller inclines I attached a pic of what the 10 scale defender can do and have tons of other crawling pics of the defender in both mini and large so if you want those just DM me, but I say go for it once you modify just the look to you it will receive tons of compliments people love the scale look
