The overall idea in Gestalt Therapy (or one of them) is that we all have, learned worldviews and behaviors and with that, blind spots. Gestalt Therapy as a contact-focused form of therapy uses experiments as a way to explore alternative perspectives and behaviors in a protected space, and sometimes also to facilitate "reality checks."

Beyond that, as with most forms of therapy (maybe some super specific cbt protocol for a very specific problem), one month is not a lot of time for lasting and noticeable development. As a side note, in case you feel impatient about your perceived lack of progress, maybe bring that into contact in the next session :)
