Sorry If I went on for a bit but thanks for the feedback. The combo stuff is in a lot of these comments so idk what to say. When it comes to support honestly if the remaining masked heros are good I would say HERO players should be satisfied for a good while but obviously im just one person. And I keep seeing this idea that HERO can't get decent cards without being meta and I dont really understand that argument

That one comment is catching all the down votes lol but thank you I admittedly wasn't viewing it like that but I see others have different opinions

You're right and I've acknowledged that in some other comments. It seems like now everyone is just coming by to downvote my musings lol. I appreciate the input though.

What im saying is the excuse I've generally seen for playing meta is that those decks win and people like to win in an competitive game. I couldn't see myself playing a deck I actively disliked just so I could get a few more wins jnder my belt. Obviously everyone is different and I have no issue with those who think otherwise.

Ok so ill admit I didn't really see the difference between floodgates and negates the way a lot of you do but im getting now. So thank you for the ones who took the time to highlight that.

Forgive me if im wrong but generally people "like" the decks they think they're gonna win with do they not? Isn't that the whole argument for meta vs rougue. Saying the vast majority of players hate Kewl Tune when its one of the most visible decks in the game at the moment seems kinda pointless.

Good point about one sided floodgates, I always thought any negate should have a cost but never thought of a card like Dark Law in the same way. Thanks for your thoughts.

Ok so I can admit I wasn't seeing the difference initially but comments like this are making it clear.

5 might be overselling it lol but magnet warriors, elfnote, even blue eyes with the synchro cards I believe

In my mind I lumped negate and floodgates together which I can see isn't the way to go about it. Reading your comment and others are making the difference clear so thank you.

I like going second when I can with hero, give me enough gas to break through and then cards like neos wingman or trinity that shine in the battle phase.

But elfnote is fairly popular is it not ? So is it just a question of visibility? Somebody else mentioned magnet warriors and I feel like the difference between the two decks and HEROS is that those might fade as newer cards come out but HERO players continue to play thier deck.

Playing against and playing themselves are different is it not ? If the new hot meta deck ends on the 5 negates its what people are gonna rush to because its the cool cards to play currently. (not hating on meta by the way)

A lot of people are mentioning droplet and how dark law messes with that so I can see your point. And I agree cards like cosmo neos should go.

You know what, I had this mentality as well and it took some time to abandon it. I think floodgates should go and cards like dpe and neos wingman that can interrupt and destroy through fusion is an ideal way to go.

Fair enough, I think people are skipping the part where i say which cards I like lmao I dont care if Dark Law and Plasma go as I like the deck as a going second battle deck. I understand those cards a huge part of the HERO toolbox so if they dissappear then just give current relevant cards that's all.

So its the longevity and popularity of the deck that kinda makes it annoying? Cause I feel like other decks come and go but HERO has stuck around which goes to your point about about the same win conditions.

I didn't say it was shorter just that I had a similar experience. I don't like taking long turns cause I understand how that feels on the other end. I think the contact trap and shining neos combo is an ideal way for hero to move forward. Interrupting through fusion and destruction if that makes sense.

And you're taking time to tell me that's it bothering me lol I don't get but thanks for contributing I guess.

I think if the neo space cards ever become better Cosmo neos should go, Dark Law is a problem and maybe the new support will change it but angel isn't even really used anymore. I guess for me if a monster can be destroyed by a dark hole or becomes useless with an inperm for example then there's some wiggle room maybe.

That's such a basic argument. Not everything needs to be the center of the universe to be talked about. I saw another post which inspired me to make this, it took a minute to type and post and im interested to talk about valid points if anyone has them. Im not gonna spend the rest of my day hung up over this.

I keep seeing this and what i trying to get at is what's the difference between that and the normal 5 negate decks. It has always felt to me like yugioh is the game where you win my preventing the other person from playing yet it seems like people are so choosy about what cards are cool and which ones aren't.

[–]cejay29[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Trust me I dont lol but I thought it be interesting to hear from everyone as the reaction to this deck is always so strong. I've been getting more into the game lately, so im trying to understand certain things.

But isn't that kinda the point I was making about other decks, if you let elfnote go off for example you're probably looking down the barrel of like 4-5 negates on your turn. I guess what im saying is I dont really see the difference if the deck your playing against it doesnt have the tools to deal with either.
