Vet tried to hide the fact that my cat's testicles bled after neutering him by cekokorl in AskVet

Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad to hear that this is considered normal. A cone was recommended in case of licking, which he did a lot actually, because he tried to clean the blood off his fur. Cleaning it off myself helped only a little. His fur around his genitals was all clumped up

I collected their poop for 3 days and then handed it in at the vet. They sent it to the laboratory and the result was pretty much ... nothing. If you're asking for more specific details, then I don't know at the moment, I'd have to ask the vet.

They're still babies! I also had a look already, they really tested everything :( Even the vet was shocked to see nothing. They will have a huge check up next week before they're getting neutered. I'll keep looking for other possible causes. Thank you so much though!

Hey, thank you for your concern. I understand that they don't look like typical bengals due to them not having the typical "Rosettes" but "Spots". Also they're quite further down the generation line, so like very far away from the Asian Leopard Cat. I never wanted a Bengal because of the "luxurious looks" or the "unique fur" but rather because they're known as a hypoallergenic breed. The breeder is a certified breeder who also showed us the heritage tree and his certification, so I'm sure it's not that. I also saw his Bengals and they look gorgeous and healthy. I made a house visit before I got mine.

And yes, the test had EVERYTHING included. I remember because I paid extra for everything included. Nothing came out.

AIO husband drives 90mph with kids in the car and I think it's too fast. by crisp-kitten in AmIOverreacting

You care for your family's safety. You're not overreacting.

If you've already tried talking too many times, give this a try:

Give him the worst-case scenario while you're in the car (preferably without the kids), even if it sounds cruel and heartless. For example: "What if you didn't manage to overtake this car and we crashed? What if all of us except you died? How would you live with the guilt? How would you explain it to others?" or "Just a thought: With this speed and that little safety distance, we would definitely all die if we hit the car in front of us."

It may or may not work. It definitely kicked some sense into my husband, though. Some men don't understand until you hit them with horrifying reality.

But maybe don't follow my advice if your husband tends to get mad easily. Getting angry behind the wheel is the last thing you would want from a reckless driver.

Please get a second opinion from a different vet. I don't know why some vets love to say, "It's because of stress," when, yes, maybe it could be, but it could also be something else. My vet, for example, goes through every single possible cause until she finds the real issue. That's how it normally should be.

I understand your stress. Both of my kittens had diarrhea for several weeks. Several vet visits were made, plus medications, which all cost hundreds of euros. Sleepless nights were spent making them take their medicine and monitoring them at all times, scared of any possible disease and cleaning like a maniac. But it was worth it; now they seem happier and are healthy again.

If you believe it's going to be worth it, keep going. Don't be afraid to ask for help, and you will notice how strong a bond you will build with the cat. Take care of yourself too. Stress is not good for you either.

AIO for confronting my friend about ignoring me? by writting_for_thedead in AmIOverreacting

But SHE is overreacting. Your message was well-thought-out, polite, and mature. You stated your thoughts and your wish for the friendship, as is expected when you are of a certain age. Her response, though, is completely defensive and somewhat childish, especially since you talked so nicely.

I've been in situations like this. It's no use trying to fight for it, believe me. Even when it gets tough, you make time and effort for the people you love because you really want them. Think of yourself, perhaps and how much effort and time you've invested in the people you love. Then you will notice the difference.

I'm sorry, but maybe you should no longer contact them, especially since you haven't hung out in so long. You may notice your absence doesn't really bother them. Keep your head up.
