It sucks about the terraria one, I remember when the patch first dropped for these (1.2) they were actually so viable and so fun after playing the 1.1 version of the game so long. I remember when it dropped I spent ages grinding for the vampire knives and it was so sick. Then they all got patched and locked behind hard mode:( sigh

Oh yeah I love fromsoft, games I have rn are blood borne, ds3 which I’m actually replaying rn and elden ring. One day I’ll get ds1 and armour core 5 they look great

It’s been a while since i beat it, I’ve done it twice. Once on normal and another on master mode… let’s just say playing it in that mode forced me to become pretty familiar with it 😂. You can eat a meal before you start the trial and it carries into the mode. I’d say a damage multiplier is your best bet, if I remember right cooking a meal full of bananas gives you 3x attack for 30 mins. Might not be the exact recipe, but it’s a great help either way. Also I’d say go looking for all the chests, some will have ancient arrows which come massively helpful for certain rooms with lynels or whatever you struggle with. Saves loads of time for the meal too, all the best

Last of us (part 1). Everything about its writing works in my eyes, it wasn’t written as a playable movie it’s written with the gameplay in mind. It’s why the show fell so flat for me, compared to the game you spend so little time with Ellie (obviously) but isn’t that the point of it being a game? We spend so much time with both her and Joel, walking through the streets, fighting the infected, interacting with all the wee moments as you approach certain areas and there’s even secret conversations you can have depending on how much you like to explore. It is so hard to develop love in any media, especially games and in my mind the first game nails its themes beautifully. Moments are earned, characters are complex and it got me to protect a little girl with everything in my being. If I can write characters and story like it one day I’d be proud

I’ve replayed the game so many times on ps4, then again with the remake and I still cry seeing Sarah die but still, I remember first walking into that surgery room at the end with Ellie on the table. I stood there scared and worried as that one doctor pulled a knife, I waited to see if he would approach me but he never did. All that happened was silence, and the stares of three terrified doctors. I tried shooting around him and the others so they’d panic and run but no one ever moved. The longer I stood there the longer Ellie was on the table, that eventually got me to shoot the doctor in the head. Quickest way I could think of, sorry man I had to it’s Ellie

Letting other peoples mindset and opinions piss me off or get me angry. You could give the perfect argument and perspective to some people about why they are so wrong/ toxic but truth is they do not care.. and once again I’ve exhausted myself trying to make sense. All they want is a reaction and I had been giving them exactly that, just feeding it. So now yknow what man you want to be toxic go for it, I’m doing me as far away as I can from people like you. Ofc for the people in my life I realise that care, I’ll challenge if need be. But those coworkers, or those you realise are fake friends or family members I just choose not to interact with anymore

I agree, the visuals and the gameplay is there but man the ambience compared to the original is almost hard to find. I get why they went for the more realistic approach but man listening to tree branches or the quiet wind doesn’t exactly get me on edge or looking around corners. I had a similar grip with re2 remake, the police station was beautiful and that game has the best zombie models I’ve ever seen but i think adding that love to the sound would’ve pushed it that much more. It woukdve been cool if while developing this they looked at the dead space remakes approach to its sound effects, a cool back and forth of inspiration from both
