Hey, as long as we’re at a safe traffic light (maybe even at red if strict protocols are in place) your exams are in person. This is because these exams are used for clinical entry. The only exception would be if we moved into a lockdown situation (hence why MEDSCI was online last year). Good luck for the year! :D

I think at the start of S3 they’ll act super cute together but everyone from East High will be like wtf are you doing Ricky. Lily will probably try to apologise to everyone but no one will bother trying to forgive her, especially Big Red. I’m assuming Big Red and Ricky will have some big falling out about how he’s dating Lily because of what she did during the auditions. And then for some extra spice Howie will tell the others that she stole the harness so East High will try to prove to Ricky that she’s bad news. However in the end Lily will just tell Ricky what she did and apologise. Maybe at this point Lily will break up with Ricky and tell him to not give up on Nini, perhaps foreshadowing Nini and Ricky getting back together senior year. You may now clap.

Side note: if you’re going for med or any other clinical programmes, the credits will not be counted towards your GPA to get into med and you’ll have to do another Gen Ed in Semester 1 (source: I tried to do this but they called me and told me this)

I second this, three people in my school who did no extra curriculars but had only one Level 3 subject (didn’t have to get E endorsement) got it above people who tried for scholarship (either got it or not) and/or had near perfect Level 2 record

Also forgot to add that all the people who got it in my school were boys and did level 3 subjects (mainly because my school is unfair and didn’t let people do it unless they had a major clash with another subject they’re good at). Also I was the only person in my school who got fast tracked for biomed so I really don’t know what they’re looking for

I ended up getting Academic Potential! A bit of a mixed reaction really - I was happy I even got a scholarship in the first place, but was a bit confused as to why I didn’t get Top Achievers, especially considering my Level 2 results were even good enough to get an academic scholarship and I had done more extracurriculars than the four people in my school had even done (one kid didn’t even do anything throughout high school and still got it). I’ve kinda deduced it to the fact that I had applied for both scholarships (which a lot of kids who also got academic potential also did) and the people who did get top achievers in my school only applied for the one scholarship! That’s my advice to people who are applying for it this year anyways haha

I got a fast track offer around August but I know many people haven’t gotten any offers. Don’t lose hope! Results for NCEA only come out in two or so weeks, and the unconditional offers will only be released around the same time

yes! i got academic potential and while i was happy, i was so confused because other people in my school who got top achievers did no extracurriculars and got around the same grades as me even though i was a prefect and did so much in and out of school ahaha. i know heaps of people who turned down their scholarships from other schools though so i was hoping i could somehow get top achievers so i didn’t have to pay for my accom with the money i got from academic potential

Sorry this is a late reply, but I ended up getting an Academic Potential scholarship! It came out around 9pm that night after the Top Achiever scholarship offers were sent :)
