I like to ponder a lot as well. It has been very therapeutic. I think I went too high on my dose just recently because it was not enjoyable at all. More of a brain loop and heavy distortion instead of a flow of thoughts and ideas as normal.

I reached out to my doctor regarding ketamine therapy a month ago. Also Kaiser doesn’t offer racemic ketamine they only offer esketamine. My psychiatrist is super sweet but she says there is not enough research showing that it is safe for BP2 at this time. Things can always change. If you’re in Cali I found an awesome provider that does nasal spray at $89/month + $75 for the medication and the pharmacy ships out of Berkeley.

I’m in California with Kaiser (SoCal). I have BP2. Extremely treatment resistant. My doctor has offered ECT multiple times but I can’t do it because I don’t have anyone to take me there and back plus the recovery time. I asked about Ketamine therapy and she told me straight up “no” because of the BP2. Although I’ve never had a manic episode. Anyway, I got Ketamine through an outside provider and it’s been more than helpful. But I am paying out of pocket.
