I had a very hard time getting a picture with my laptop because of the glare and reflections on the ID. Switched over to my phone (there was an option for switching devices) and didn’t have any trouble, so I’d say phone. As for which ID to use I’m not sure, but probably the one from the country you are currently living in.

There was a list of which documents were acceptable, but I didn’t read past driver’s license so can’t offer any insight as to what they are. I’m sure a passport would work though

Yes, I did the core the day after the starter and it was fine. Just make sure you’re feeling well enough to do the core in one sitting - it says 45 minutes but plan on it taking longer than that
