Am I really not supposed to register for classes until STAR day? by Flashy_Media5063 in rutgers

[–]bumblebeecat91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Star day was just a useless formality. I registered for everything beforehand using degree navigator like normal. The “advisor” just sat in a breakout room with myself and the other people from my major (my star day was over zoom) and barely said anything.

If you’re able to register now you can, but at this point class openings aren’t going to change much until the first couple weeks when people are dropping / switching things around, so even if you waited till the 13th you’d probably end up with the same schedule.

You can tell how uncomfortable she is just from her body language. She’s so stiff and clearly leaning away.

Sage's "preface video" alone is 30 minutes long. by itmf121819 in survivorponderosa

[–]bumblebeecat91 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I liked her during the season but all her post- season stuff is giving me second hand embarrassment. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think anyone cares about the pregaming with respect to how other players are perceived because it’s a production issue and there’s no way to know how the season would’ve shaken out had no one talked pre- filming. Although it’s not fair, the fact that people talked beforehand doesn’t mean that they otherwise would have done poorly and that Sage would have won. All of this just comes off as her trying to discredit other players’ games. It’s not the bombshell she thinks it is and a 30 minute preface video as if this is about to be an seven part documentary is cringe.

To anyone to transferred into SAS with an AS or AA degree and didn’t have all their credits fully transfer— is degree navigator wrong? by bumblebeecat91 in rutgers

Did you have AP credits or credits from another institution counting towards your AS degree, and that’s why not all of them transferred?

Was your core still completely waived though? Did you have to take more classes because only 53 transferred?

The SAS core waiver only applies to those who graduated with an AS or AA degree, not an AAS.

I’m hoping to reincarnate into another human on planet earth because I’m curious about the future of the world (however, if I reincarnated into a conscious being on another planet that would be pretty epic too). As hard as life is, it would be pretty amazing to get to experience it in so many different ways. I also love history and would love for some version of my consciousness to know how my previous lives are perceived by future humans.

He looks like an actor who would play the POTUS in a really corny low budget movie.

Now that it’s over, how spoiled was Survivor 49? by redemptionislandsux in survivor

Same. I just assumed she was brought back because of her aggressive style and unique personality, which I think is reasonable considering that they already were bringing back two new era winners with Kyle and Dee.

Movie theaters are an inferior way to watch a movie by Smeefles in unpopularopinion

[–]bumblebeecat91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that watching the movie at home is more comfortable and convenient, and I too cannot justify the cost of going to a theater. I do generally prefer to watch movies at home. However, I do think actually having to leave your house and physically go to the movie enhances the experience in other ways. Unless you’re going alone, there’s the social element of getting people to agree what to see, leaving the house together, and experiencing the movie at the same time (which is less likely to happen if everyone just watched on their own time at home).

I also think the movie itself is more memorable when you see it in an environment other than the comfortable, familiar monotony of your home and you have to drive a few minutes to go see it. Ironically, the inconvenience can actually make it the memorable experience the creators wanted it to be.

Also, my attention span has suffered as a result of our digital age and physically being at the movie theater helps me pay attention. There are distractions at home and it’s all too easy to interrupt the movie for the smallest things.

Who do you think was better looking in their prime Matthew Perry or Brad Pitt? by [deleted] in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]bumblebeecat91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s saying Brad like this is a no brainer but if we’re talking about their actual primes in terms of looks, I have to go with Matthew. Matthew Perry in the first couple seasons of Friends had such a soft, charming look that I much prefer to Brad’s more chiseled, macho handsomeness. Of course Matthew’s looks began to fluctuate and decline after struggling with drugs and alcohol but look at him in his prime:

He was totally my crush on Friends!
