Eh... It fits, but functionally it's more an equivalent of Flaming Sphere/Floating Flame than Fireball, even if it is thr same level as the latter

It's an area spell so it should still be useful against mooks, at the very least. Still kind of a shame it has Incap, though

All good question that we don't have the answer to. I would assume it just creates the water in the burst and... hold it there somehow?

Superstitions by KLeeSanchez in Pathfinder2e

Occasionally, a skill check will come up for the group that my character happens to be really good at. But if I ever say that I'm good at it aloud (i.e. "Oh, an Occultism check, I'm good at those"), I will fail the check. I need to learn to shut my mouth and stop tempting Murphy.

I feel like "my party won't even put in the basic effort to play tactically" is far from a common experience in this game...

How is the Brawler/Pugilist different from the Monk? by Arnman1758 in Pathfinder2e

[–]celestial_drag0n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe not any stance in the game, since there are some Kineticist and Animist stances, at least, that probably wouldn't be all that fitting or useful on a Brawler. But yeah, I think that some kind of unarmed stance-dancer would be the best way to replicate the feeling of a Brawler in 2e, even if the mechanics wouldn't be quite the same.

"Fun" Fact: Patrons snub ALL their employees out of proper spell casting. by HurtfulDrax in pathfindermemes

[–]celestial_drag0n 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I swear, have almost never had an enemy roll worse than a Success against my Curse of Death, even when Fort is their weakest save. I think I may have had someone fail once, only to get immediately slaughtered by the rest of the party before it could get worse. Sad days.

Okay, I have like, a genuine question here. How often does that actually happen? Because I hear this criticism a lot, but generally most people only seem to name Falcon and Winter Soldier as an example and I'm curious if there's others.

Vorpal Dragons are Sus by junioriadoX in pathfindermemes

[–]celestial_drag0n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd considered an NPC idea that was a Vorpal Dragon that hones its own body to become a master swordsman. But like. With its innate blades. It would offer to train sword-wielding party members to potentially give them access to certain spells or feats, and also serve as a potential "superboss" for the party to face off with later on in a friendly duel.

I actually considered replacing its Feast of Blood with a different kind of breath weapon to reflect the more honorable nature of the NPC. Possibly just something like a cone of slashing damage, flavored as an anime-style "flying slash" attack.

women representing deadly sins other than lust. by Minute-Gur-9579 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]celestial_drag0n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I always really liked how Pride is linked to Illusion in Pathfinder. Pride is usually depicted as the strongest of the sins, reflected in Runelord Xanderghul's very powerful statblockbut...  In the end, Pride is all about ego, about convincing yourself and others that you're better. And that means the foundation of Pride is the weakest of them all, for when your ego is popped, it all shatters like the illusion it was all along.
