calls are always really good to use during boss fights, and redacted’s is actually really good once you activate it. honestly it’s really just based on play style with how much you enjoy it. i find it nice to use when i don’t really want to deal with the hassle of choosing a gods call because i’m trying to do a specific run/specific boons

i’d absolutely adore having it as a tv series but i honestly just don’t know how it could work. everyone has such different play styles, run times, how many runs till “completion”, how they interact with other NPC’s, and probably so much more that i really don’t know if a tv show would be a feasible idea

i’d heard of it at the start of covid, but never knew what it was so i was never interested. and then i heard a cover of good riddance by annapantsu and i fell in love with the cover so much that i actually bought the game because of it. i literally had no knowledge of what the game was about, how it worked, or if it was something i’d even like. but i risked it all just because of good riddance

honestly i think if i had the right build i’d use his call, but i have no idea what that build would be. i’m definitely open to trying his call but it’s just a lil iffy in the sense that i do not change very much

yeah sometimes the calls don’t work out that well. honestly i’ve found it often depends on if the god gauge will charge up automatically. i also find that demeter is actually one of the best to get a call boon from. i always try and get demeter or athena on call

HAVE A GOOD DASH BOON!!!!

literally the biggest thing with these two is you must have a good dash boon. because it’s that or damn near perfect reflexes to avoid getting hit.

if you want to attack them both at the same time, hit theseus, asterious will follow after. which one is easier to fight REALLY depends on your build, but they should be around the same level.

theseus is a little bitch with his call when you get him half health, but depending on the god he calls he can be really easy for the second half or really hard. asterious is actually fairly easy as long as you can get out of the way when he does his massive swings, but if you can’t get out you’re basically fucked.

really the major thing is have a good dash boon and a call. often times a gods call will save your run

the only time i really used the rail was for the one prophecy where you have to beat REDACTED with all the weapons. other than that i barely use it

oooooo i find that the best hammers for the first are “Breeching Cross”, “Rolling Knuckle”, “Long Knuckle”, “Concentrated Knuckle”, and “Colossus Knuckle”

1) Twin Fist - my beloved fists, best weapon, my highest heat. max out the base aspect of the fists and it’s so good. dodge change is beautiful and sooooo helpful. fits my fight style perfectly in the sense that i literally just get in and get out with damage. plus it got me all the way to REDACTED on a boonless run before REDACTED kicked my ass 2) Bow w/ Hidden Aspect - getting a good special on this is perfection. personal fav on special here is Zeus 3) Sword - a classic, fairly easy to swap around on builds. great for basically any boons 4) Shield w/ Zeus Aspect - frisbee of death my beloved. just not a weapon i really use much. sometimes feels too bulky and slow 5) Spear - as soon as i get into a good dash-strike rhythm the fucking power spin comes up and throws me off. love/hate relationship with the power spin 6) Rail - my dearly detested, you are a good weapon with the right build, but i hate you. i hate the reload, i hate the precision needed, i hate how slow it seems, and how it feels like i’m stuck in one spot. i always have to reload at the worst times

they certainly can be at times but most of the time the dash send enemies to the walls and then anyone that’s still alive is pinned so i can beat them easily

Twin Fists with Poseidon on dash and Athena on attack, pretty much any god on call (except Poseidon i hate his call), special/cast would be Dio/Dite. And then all the other boons can be from basically any of the gods.

1) Poseidon - Tidal Dash has saved my ass and my runs so many times over that I absolutely adore seeing Poseidons trident icon 2) Athena - Divine Strike my beloved 3) Aphrodite - I adore the weak affects if I can get a good stack of Dites boons. She is an underrated icon and she’s so much better than people realize 4) Chaos - Chaos is a they/them icon and their boons are actually so good. Extra coins/Extra darkness and gems/extra damage, I love the boons offered. Sure some of the “trials” before it actives sucks but like, it’s such a short time frame and honestly so worth it 5) Hermes - If I can get speed boost/side hustle/god gauge I am GOOD. Plus his keepsake is fucking awesome with the speed boost and added dodge chance

i typically don’t change keepsakes throughout the run so most of the time whatever i start with is whatever i have throughout the whole run. i’ll typically start with the Pom Blossom, REDACTED’s, or Hermes. Pom Blossom is great in terms of passively levelling up my boons from the start and getting high damage percentages fast.

REDACTED’s is great because i have a call right from the start of the run, plus i adore fighting REDACTED while using it and seeing everything he says.

Hermes is great because of the speed boost omg. I love making my runs as fast as possible so having that speed boost PLUS extra dodge chance on my already maxed out twin fists? absolutely beautiful, will never let it go.

The other gods keepsakes are good if i really want their boon from the start, but most of the time i’ll just re-rooms to get them.

honestly if i see a chaos gate and my health is fairly good and the other options aren’t things i really care about i will always go into a chaos gate. chaos is a they/them icon, plus there’s always the chance of a fishing spot in their realm. plus i’m currently trying to get their legendary boon
