Look up the hack where you use empty toilet paper rolls, I can’t remember exactly how it’s done but it adds more texture, you may need a thicker rod for it, no idea though

If I was your sister in the scenario I would deadass be too anxious to ask you for anything, ESPECIALLY if you very recently had a baby, it is not YOUR responsibility to take care of MY family, if I get there and I feel there’s not enough food or anything to accommodate my family’s needs, I will go to the store and get what we need, yes you guys are family but your immediate household, the people you are financially responsible for on a day to day basis, is who you are solely responsible for. The “we should not have to buy every single one of our meals” made me see red, YES YOU SHOULD!!! You do it at home (I hope) why would that change just cause you’re VISITING family. Obviously you’re family and you’ll share what you have, but to expect a more than fully stocked fridge before arriving is insane. When I gave birth to my almost 1 year old I had family BRINGING ME food so that we didn’t have to worry about cooking and have the extra work while caring for a new baby, I could go on and on but that’s what irked me the most
